writings of a dead man here. the world has ended in aus and i wrote this to tell you believers the world wasnt gonna end, damm i got that wrong. but yeah any way i'm dead, but that wont stop me from writing for you people. i know this sux towards the end but i ran out of time, so yeah sorry. read and try and enjoy. End of the world
Hyrule normally a land of happiness and joy but not on this day, this day the sun is blotted out by clouds as black as a demon's soul, and the ground is stained red with the blood of hyrule's armies. The winds reeked of death, blood and fear, all silent save for the suffering of the wounded and the sound of cracking bones under the weight of the carnage causer, Ganondorf.
A crippled soldier lying on the ground clinging to what is left of his life until his head is severed clean off from his body. His spine ripped out of his back and flying off with his skull bouncing and cracking amongst the hundreds of other corpses being finished off by the flies that ride the winds of death to claim their lunch and the nest of their eggs.
Link and Zelda watched in horror as the king of evil marched towards them and the great treasure they protected, the triforce.
"We are all that's left stopping him from taking the rest of the golden power" Zelda told Link. "If he gets our treasure who knows what he will do"
Ganondorf bellowed out a laugh as he approached the duo. "Give up. You have no chance"
Link stepped between the man of evil and his princess and the golden power. He drew his sword and shield and readied his battle stance in the carnage left on the crimson ground. Ganondorf continued his slow and meaningful approach. Finishing off any wounded in his way in the most inhumane ways possible; from kicking skulls and stepping on spines to throwing the dying corpses into a pile of dead.
"Sweet goddess Din let my fight not be in vain. May the lives lost here not be a vain sacrifice"
As he finished his silent prayer, Ganondorf descended upon the defenceless princess, Zelda. Link turned to see Zelda under the mighty weight of Ganondorf and his armour.
"Get off her." The green clad man screamed at the dark figure. Ganondorf smiled and said "make me"
Link looked up and down at the figure before him, noting how much larger his foe was.
"I knew you couldn't do it" Ganondorf laughed before stomping on Zelda.
Zelda lay on the ground, blood slowly dripping from where Ganondorf's metal boot had collided with her stomach. With a ragged whisper Zelda called out to Link. "Link. Please, do something"
"shut up" Ganondorf bellowed before leaping off Zelda and moving towards the triforce.
Link dived to Zelda the moment Ganondorf was off her, trying to see the extent of her injuries.
"are you okay?" link asked Zelda.
"stop him" she choked out through her ragged breaths.
But it was too late to stop him. Ganondorf stood before the triforce ready to make his wish upon it.
"finally. I shall rule the world without you insolent pests." He declared. "this world Is over. Your time is up. See you never"
He reached out and laid his hand on the golden treasure. Blinding light shone from the triforce. the earth shook violently, no one could stand. Death Mountain erupted, lava spurting everywhere. Lake Hylia flooded, forests knocked over. Animals killed, communities destroyed, lives lost.
or so he thought…
what really happened: he reached out for the triforce. Only for his hand to pass through it and images of chaos and destruction passed through his mind as the triforce released a wave of light hitting Link, Zelda and all the soldiers on the battlefield.
nothing really changed. The men were still dead. Link and Zelda were still injured. But they were all filled with the false hope that they weren't going to die today but the future might have another doomsday.
