Chapter 1: The Ancient Well

Kagome Higurashi a young girl of fifteen years old wokeup on her birthday unaware that from now on her life would never be the same.

She wokeup andgot ready for school. She quickly took a shower and got dressed in her usual green, white, and red school uniform. She brushed her hair and teeth and grabbed her black jansport backpack and jogged down into the kichen.

"Morning mom." "Oh good morning Kagome. Happy Birthday dear!" "Thanks mom!" Kagome walked over to her mother and gave her a hug and a kiss before walking towards the door. "Your not having breakfest this morning dear?" asked. "No I don't wanna be late for school." "Ok dear. Be good." "Will do mom! Bye!"

"Kagome slipped on her shoes and slid open the door intent on walking to school when she caught sight of her little brother Souta's blue sweater. "Hey! Your not supposed to play in there." She said as she walked over to him. He was standing at the door of the old well house.

The well was said to have been there for over five hundred gramps had told her stories about a villege named Edo where the residents would toss demon carcasses intio the well because it was said to have the power to turn it into dust.

Of course she never believed a word of it saying that her gramps was just getting old. Souta turned around and said "I know. It's the cat, Buyo's down here." He had a bowl of cat food trying to lure the cat into the open.

"So go get him." she told him. "Huh!" he just looked at her as if she was crazy. Kagome looked at him, rolled her eyes, and huffed before walking down the steps to retrieve their cat.

She walked down the steps and was barely able to see anything before she heard a "CRASH!" She jumped and heard her brother scream from the entrance. "Meoww." She looked down and saw Buyo rubbing against her leg.

She picked him up and turned around to tell her brother to stop being a baby, but never got the chance. The well made a strange noise and suddenly three pairs of arms shot out and grabbed her.

She dropped Buyo and was pulled into the icy depths of the well. She heard Souta scream "KAGOME!" somewhere above her before everything went blank.
