In Fayetteville, NC demons do not mate with humans or demons of a different race. Hanyous are discriminated against and have to go to certain schools. Inuyasha is half dog demon and half human and Kagome is half dog demon, half shadow demon. They meet in a treatment center the summer after their freshman year and are best friends ever since. Now as juniors in high school Inuyasha and Kagome find themselves falling for each other will their love be strong enough to battle discrimination, hatred, and meddling parents?
