"Hey, Zack! Wait up!" I called after the newly crowned king of the lab.
"What is it, Dr. Hodgens?" he replied. I had to think quickly.
"I…ah…wanted to…congratulate you on king of the lab!" I said lamely.
"Well, thank you," he smirked. Holy purple cannibals, he's cute I thought. I mentally slapped myself. He's far too logical…he'll never love me back…
"Is that all, Dr. Hodgens?" he asked slightly impatiently.
"No. I…ah…need your help with something…" I quickly lied. Conveniently enough, my computer had just crashed. I knew exactly how to fix it, of course, but I wasn't about to sacrifice any time alone with Zack. I lead him over to my computer. He leaned over and his nimble fingers began moving quickly over the keyboard. I leaned in, pressing my stomach to his lower back.
"Frankly, I'm shocked that you can't solve such a simple computer error, Dr. Hodgens, what with your degree of intelligence," he said in amusement.
"Particulates are my thing. Not computers," I lied once again.
"There. Done," he said, punctuating himself with a strike of the enter key.
"Um, now could you come in here with me?" I requested, gesturing at the room where we usually do our experiments. "I have an idea for a new experiment."
"Alright," he answered, allowing me to drag him into the room. Once we were both in the room, I closed and locked the door.
"What exactly are we doing in here?" he inquired.
"This," I replied, pinning him to the wall and kissing him like my life depended on it. At first he seemed hesitant but, after a few moments, he began to kiss me back. All too soon, he ended it.
"This is highly illogical," he breathed.
"Love is illogical," I countered, taking back control of his mouth. He parted his lips slightly, wrapping his arms around my neck as I traced his bottom lip with my tounge. I then slipped my tounge into his mouth and began exploring. I kissed my way down his mandible and he knotted his fingers in my messy hair, re-claiming my mouth as his own. We broke apart entirely too soon.
"I love you too, Jack," Zack said breathlessly.
"I do believe that is the first time you've ever said my first name," I smirked.
Awwww…isn't that cute?
