Hi guys this is my first fanfic! It was inspired by "At the end of the day" by AliseAndrews the rights of the first chapter go to her and her amazing writing! This probably isn't your normal fanfiction, since it's not so much about Emily and Micah and more about Micah as a father. Comments and constructive criticism are appreciated! Please don't be too harsh since this is my first fanficton! Thanks and I appreciate it! Enjoy!

Dr. Micah Barnes slowly pulled into the drive of the big, pretty blue and white house. He had just finished a long twelve hour shift that had begun at midnight then ended at noon on the hot summer day and he would be home just in time for lunch. He opened the door and smiled as little two year old Toby ran up to him giggling a little laugh. Micah picked him up and him around,only making him laugh harder. He nuzzled Toby's golden curls and looked into his deep brown eyes, other than hair colour Toby looked just like him. Joyce always called him mini-mouse now. Micah could smell something amazing and he heard sizzling, he propped Toby up on his hip and made his way to the kitchen towards the gloriouse scent. When he entered the threshold he saw his gorgeous wife Emily preparing BLT sandwiches for lunch, his favorite, he carefully put Toby down and gently kissed the beautiful blonde with baby blue eyes. When he broke away from the kiss, Emily finally spoke;

"Welcome home doctor Barnes" She breathed.

" Thank you very much Doctor Barnes" Micah replied.

"So where is Danielle?" he finally asked.

"In her room. She was waiting for you. She wants to go out to the beach with some friends... I think. I told her to ask you." Emily replied

Micah felt his fatherly side come out when he talked about his little girl.

"With who?" He asked. Emily shrugged.

"Ask Danielle." She said as she scooped up little Toby.

"Okay sweetie." Micah said as he kissed both of his blonde honeys on top of their heads and started down the hall.

Micah Bounded up the stairs toward his baby girl's room and caught his breath just as he was in front of the door that was covered in pictures of puppies and flowers.
