The Last Sky
The marine ship carried on to its destination, the ocean waves crashing slightly against the giant object, causing to slightly rock. On deck, marines were lined up at the railings, keeping their eyes on their current prisoner. Portgas D. Ace, who was chained to a chair with seastone, was currently staring at the sky; the salty spray of the ocean stung all his open wounds on his beat-up body. As Ace took in a small breath, he could taste salt from the ocean and gave a flicker of a smile. The head marine walked passed Ace, his hands behind his back. The marine wore the usual long cape that read justice on the back in japanese character. His long dark brown hair slightly swayed in the ocean breeze as he stopped feet from the prisoner. He took a quick look at Ace through the corner of his eye, noticing where the young man was looking. In a gruff voice, the marine spoke.
"This is your last chance to see the sky." Ace continued to stare at the skies, his eyes following a seagull now and then. "Once you've been shcackled on the scaffold, you will never again..."
Ace stared into the gorgeous blue sky. He imagined what it would be like to travel through the sky and up into the clouds; what it would be like to fly through a cloud to hide forever. He imagined what it would be like to stare at the horizon from highest point of the sky; seeing nothing but blue skies, white clouds and shimmering water for miles and miles. He imagined the sky at sunset, how the color of the sky would turn orange like fire and the clouds pink-purple as the magnificent sun laid just above the thin blue horizon. Then he could see nothing but blue skies and a small little cluster of fire-orange colored clouds. Ace could imagine himself as those clouds, the outcasts. As beautiful as they were, they were the ones who stood out; the ones the sky despised. Ace suddenly knew that he was just a cloud that stood out from the rest, left there for everyone to see him as he slowly faded away into nothing. And suddenly, Ace was back on the marine ship, still chained to the chair the uncomfortable chair. He was back in reality.
"...see the sky."
'You're wrong.' Ace thought, his eyes slightly narrowing. 'I will see the sky again.' But then Ace's eyes relaxed slightly. He knew it probably was his last time seeing the sky. Ace took in one last look at the bright blue sky and free seagulls before the dark purplish fog blocked out the only beautiful thing Ace would ever see again...

When I saw the newest episode, this sky part made me cry. And trust me, it's kinda hard to make me cry. Well this was my thoughts on that part. Though, I did a horrible job of putting my thoughts onto paper. I couldn't...describe it. You know when you see something that's so beautiful, no words can describe it? Well, thats the case here. But hopefully, you understand what I mean.
So, just give me your little thoughts on this. It ain't nothing big so no biggie :) Read and Review Please!~ ^_~
