Redeemed

My Life was bleak

I did not seek

There was nothing for me.

Who could I be?

Do I want to know?

My emotions ran low.

Then I saw you.

What do I do?

My heart beat quickens.

My body falls stricken.

Underneath your spell,

I've befell.

I tried to ignore

But I began to adore

The way you said my name

Did you feel no shame?

No remorse for what you've done?

Does that mean that you have won?

I begin to feel a bond we share,

Whenever you tell me how much you care.

No longer can I resist a smile in your direction,

As you gently tease that I am your protection.

With me you will come to no harm

As long as you are safe inside my arms.

From this day on you will never know.

From this point forward I will never show,

How at a loss my life had seemed.

Now with you by my side, I have been redeemed.
