"You're sure?" The words left him softly, making her look up into his chocolate brown eyes.
Her breath caught in her chest. Was she sure? Is this really what she wanted? She knew the answer instantly. "Yes! I am sure with all of my heart I love you and I want to be with you!" As the words left her, her heart began to beat rapidly in her chest.
His smile made her heart sing. "So, you're saying that you want to be with me, completely?" He questioned, his tone excited. "That I can hold you and love you, really, in the open? For real?"
She nodded jerkily. "I've decided. I want it to be what Kathryn wants, not the Captain." She assured. "And what I want… is you."
Grinning from ear to ear his dimples imprinted deeply into his cheeks. With no words, he reached out, taking her into his arms. He kissed her for the first time.
Her lips and cheeks erupted into an inferno as he cupped her face in his hands. Her head left her body to control itself and she melted into him. Only when her chest screamed for air did she push back from him.
Her eyes locking onto his, her hands weakly pushing against his heaving chest, managing a side smile her eyes narrowed seductively. "I love you, Chakotay." She breathed.
"Computer, lock doors, disable visitor announcement, disable comm system, Chakotay pie 110."
As he looked back to her, she knew this had been seven years in the making and she was going to enjoy every second of it. Her arms encircling his shoulders as he lowered her down on to the couch.
Every second.
