Disclaimer: I did not write Twilight or any of the characters in it. Stephenie Meyer did. I only wrote this fanfic.
Yepp...so this is my very first fanfic that I have ever written...I really love Twilight, so I decided to write this fanfic. I'm not sure, but I think my idea has already been written, but I dunno...I wanted to write it anyways xD. So...please be nice!
Prologue
(A/N: This starts out when Bella is 8 years old in Arizona)
Bella's POV
"Kevin! Hi!" I smiled at my best friend. My only friend. He was the only person, besides my mother and father, who really accepted me. He had told me to meet him today.
"Hey...Bella.."
I could immediately tell that something was terribly wrong. Kevin wasn't his usual smiling self.
"What's wrong?" I was very worried now.
"Bella...I...I'm...moving." I was shocked.
"What?" This was some joke right?
"My dad got a job in New York, so I'm moving there." I started at him in silence. Suddenly there was a dark spot on the dusty ground.
"Bella..." There were more spots. 'It must be raining. Perfect timing.' I thought to myself. When Kevin came and hugged me, I realized I was crying. Tears were streaming down my face.
"I'll really miss you, Bella..." I cried even harder.
"M-me t-t-too." I managed to sob out. "W-when?"
"Today...soon..." This was so unfair. I was getting angry.
"A-and y-you tell me o-only now!" I nearly shouted. He looked apologetically at his feet.
"I'm sorry...I thought...that it would be easier for you...you won't have time to think about it...I'll...just be gone." I stared at him disbelievingly.
"Why?" My voice cracked. This was too much. He shook his head.
"I'm sorry...I..." A voice interupted him. "Kevin, come on. We're leaving!"
"Yea, Dad. Hold on." Kevin shouted back. "Bella, I'm really sorry, but I have to go...now." I looked at him with pained eyes.
"Why?" I said again.
"Bella...I promise that I'll come find you when I'm old enough. I promise...I...I love you." He bent down and kissed me swiftly on the check. He turned and walked away, leaving me. I was frozen in place. It was so cold, even with the Arizona sun blazing down at me.
"No!" I shouted as the truck with the only person who ever cared about me besides my family, my only friend, started moving. I must have been a spectacal: a little girl, chasing a truck while crying. I kept on running until it disappered from my veiw. I sank down on to my knees and blacked out.
