hey guys so this is my first fanfic, its actually what I want the Al Sah-him/ felicity interaction to be like. So here it comes:
"I was surrounded by darkness; so darkness I became"
The foundry. The "arrow cave" or whatever you want to call it, was completely demolished. Just dust and debris, nothing of what it used to look like. Darkness. Pitch black. Lifeless. Those three weeks felt like the five years he was away. Isolation was his only companion, he had grown into the idea of being alone. It even got to the point where he enjoyed being surrounded by darkness. Absolute darkness.
There he was, staring into the oblivion. Standing in a place that once felt like home. Al Sah-him was his name. He had struggled so much with his identity, that he never thought that his destiny would be to become the next Ras Al Ghul.
But what he never expected was to find a light in the darkest of places, he never expected to see Felicity again. He was facing the foundry walls and all those years of training and developing skills really paid off. He could sense when someone was coming, and this time he recognized a particular pair of 7 cm heels...
"Oliver?" Felicity called. Her voice was broken and you could tell she had been crying.
His heart stopped. His whole body started to shiver. He felt so cold, that even his bones hurt.
"Oliver!" This time she sounded angry rather than shocked.
But he knew he couldn't answer. He knew Oliver was dead. Once a person is dead there is nothing that you can do to bring them back. Nothing.
"Al Sah-him" She pronounced. Slowly, almost clenching her teeth. You could tell it was difficult for her. But what you couldn't tell was it was killing her, deep in her soul and in her heart. Just by pronouncing the name "Al Sah him" one piece of her soul, of her life and of herself broke into a million pieces.
He returned around. His face was covered in way you could only see his eyes. Eyes full of pain. A lost soul who had given up on hope. You could tell he wanted to embrace her, hug her and kiss her all at the same time .But he knew he couldn't. Felicity was part of Oliver's past, and that man was long dead. The man had failed to be Oliver Queen the same way he had failed to be The Arrow.
Felicity was speechless. For the first time in her life, there was nothing she could say, nothing at all. There was pain in her eyes too. Her whole face seemed different. She had not been sleeping lately, because when she did she had nightmares about what Oliver was going through. It was as if they were both connected. When he was in pain, she was in pain. Sometimes though, emotional pain hurts more than a thousand blades and seeing Felicity suffer was harder than taking all the beatings he had experienced in his five years away, combined.
No words were said. Just eye contact, and it was more than enough.
After a couple of minutes, that felt like ages. Al Sah-him disappeared in a cloud of red smoke, leaving Felicity, his only light, behind.
