I let my lights dim out, as the strangely soothing tune made its way out of my laptop. I laid there. Staring at my roof, cuddling my small stuffed animal, Cody. The tune played on as it soon became so...Familiar. It started to sound like the hum of a loved one. Softly humming the tune into your ear, as you slowly drift off.

I fell asleep to the tunes. I suddenly saw a young, maybe 12-14 year old, girl sitting next to me, humming the soft tune. I felt a warm droplet of water hit me as all of the sound faded out. The girl was sobbing. I was bleeding.

It went dark. Only the sound of a clicking music box remained. Distant sobbing played in. I was alone. In the darkness, slowly overcoming me and choking me. I soon realized that the sobs were coming from me. A thick, dark liquid solidified around my waist.

5 blurred...lights walked up to me. all of them with a slight tint of color, one was yellow, one was blue, one was red, one was pink and the last was plain gray.

The blue one walked up and placed a hat on my head, and whispered: "you can't escape this now" They all faded at once as giggles could be heard in the distance. It all seemed so...real…

The humming returned, but when I saw the girl again, she lay next to me. Lifeless. Clicking returned. All sound faded but the clicking. The clicking was...like a clock in fast forward. And it never stopped. I stared at the girl, unable to move. Alone and afraid. Until it was all gone. Nothing left but distant screams. It never stopped. NEVER.

I woke up with the weirdest feeling that it was all real...What if our lives are our dreams and our dreams are our lives? The dream was strangely real...I could feel the water, the pain, the thick dark, liquid, the hat being placed on my head...It was all too real.
