I don't own Good Luck Charlie and I don't own the song HANDPRINTS ON THE WALL. I am writing this as a repost from my last story because I had taken out the lyrics as I was told too and the self proclaimed story police reported my story anyway. The site admins would do well to actually check the stories. For the sake of this story TEDDY IS THE OLDEST CHILD IN THE DUNKIN FAMILY
Tears rolled down Amy's face as she struggled to push the baby out. She had been pushing for hours and this baby was not wanting to come out.
"I can't get him out," Amy said.
"Amy," Bob said, "You're doing great. Come on. One more push and he'll be out. I know you can do it. You know you can do it."
"Okay Bob," Amy said
She pushed one more time and the baby came out.
"Congratulations," Dr. Syng said, "It's a girl."
"It's a what," Bob asked.
"It's a girl. You seem surprised."
"Well it's just the way I was carrying we were sure we were having a boy," Amy explained.
"Do you have any names picked out," the doctor asked
Bob and Amy looked at each other.
"Teddy," Bob said softly
Just then the baby started to cry for the first time and Bob fell in love so much so he felt like he couldn't breath.
..
Bob couldn't believe it. Teddy was now crawling. Soon she would be walking. Teddy was two and she was just as beautiful today as the day she was born. Finally she stood up one day and started taking a few steps. It was okay 3 steps and then she looked back nervously.
"Come on Teddy," Bob encouraged holding his arms out, "You don't need to be scared. If you fall I'll catch you.
Teddy took the step and then she actually DID start to fall but Bob reached out his arms and caught her before she hit the ground.
"I'll never let anything happen to you," he promised kissing her nose. Teddy giggled.
As she left the playroom Bob noticed that she had left behind some hand prints on the wall.
...
Two years passed and now Bob and Amy were watching as Teddy excitedly held her new baby brother. As he got older Teddy was excited to teach him songs like Itsy Bitsy spider and patty cake patty cake bakers man. He couldn't believe how small her hands were and they fit right into PJ's as she showed him the games that Bob had showed Teddy.
...
18 years later Teddy was leaving for college. She hugged everyone goodbye. Bob and Amy were both crying. PJ was pretending he wasn't going to miss her but he really would. Charlie was really sad and Gabe was happy because he got his own room finally. She hugged them again and said goodbye. As she left Bob noticed that she had accidentally left a hand print on the wall.
Just like when she was little he thought and went inside.
