Hi there everyone! This is my first Fruits Basket fanfiction so I thought that I would start off with a poem! I have written more Fruits Basket fics as well. So it does not really say, but you can guess who is who. And I apologize for the spacing.

A Girl And Her Cat
There once was a girl, there once was a cat
He'd go out for a walk, and then he'd come back
The girl loved this cat with all of her heart
Without him, her world would fall apart
One day in late Autumn, the cat took a walk
Just before he left, the girl gave him a talk
"Come back real soon, little kitty okay?
And then we can do something fun today!"
And so the cat began his stroll
His tail held high like a tall street poll
And so the girl waited for him all day
But her cat did not come, it was night that came
She sat in the dark, patient and calm
I know he'll come back, he has to! She thought
But as night dragged on, he did not return
The hole in her heart was starting to burn
When dawn broke, she was crying
The tears wouldn't cease
She felt as though she were dying
All her joy turned to grief
She then heard a sound, a ruffle nearby
The girl looked up, trying not to cry
But it was only the wind, not the friend she had hoped for
She burst into to tears, and wept more and more
She sobbed all day, and night drew near
Loneliness was now the only thing that she feared
As she stood up to leave, something touched her leg
Something furry and soft and she tilted her head
He made a noise, a "meow" if you will
And her world started turning again, no longer still
She scooped up her cat, she hugged him and cried
His tongue licked her face, and her tears it did dry
The girl looked up to the sky, and her smile shown
"Thank goodness! Thank goodness!
My kitty came home!"
A/N: Well there you have it! Gomen, this is not anywhere close to my best work, I just thought it up and typed it. I can do much better than this and I am mad that I did not! Grr. Lol.
