Mindy sat up, not daring to look out of her half-closed eyes. She felt around for her alarm clock, which was beeping so loud she couldn't hear herself think. She found the button, and pressed it.
"Stupid clock…" she trailed off. "At least they're good for something…"
She looked at the little red clock, noticing the time was three hours before she was supposed to go to gymnastics.
"Gah…screw gymnastics…" she muttered, getting up.
She got dressed, and went down the stairs to breakfast. It was a Saturday, Mindy's favourite day.
"Hey, Mindz," her sister called from the table. 'How's that project coming along?"
"It's failing." Mindy muttered. She walked over to the television, which had their old Nintendo 64 console connected, and starting playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
"Hmm…maybe if I put the block there…nah…" she thought out loud.
She soon got bored of trying that one puzzle over and over again, so she turned off the 64. She noticed that even when she turned it off, the light was on.
"Hm…that's not usual." Her sister commented, peeking over her newspaper.
"I know…maybe I should try it again." Mindy answered, walking back over to the T.V. She touched the button, and she felt like she was falling. Only thing was, she actually did fall.
She awoke three hours later, in a house that looked too small for a normal person to live in. She looked around.
"Where-?" she muttered.
She spotted a small boy standing in the doorway. He grunted, and by the sound of it, he couldn't speak.
"Hello." Mindy said politely.
He just walked over.
"Look, can you talk?" Mindy asked.
"Yes, of course I can talk." The boy answered.
"What's your name?"
"Link."
Mindy got up. I wonder if Bakura's around, she thought. Bakura soon appeared.
"Mindy? Let me guess, you played your 64 this morning?" he smirked.
Mindy looked at her nails. They were blue.
"What?!" she exclaimed. She looked down at her clothes. She had a blue dress on.
"This clashes with my hair." She muttered.
She walked out of the small house, and instantly recognised where she was. She was in Kokiri forest.
"Kokiri…." She whispered, barely audible.
She jumped off the balcony of the house, falling to the ground. A green haired girl was standing near.
"Are you Saria?" she asked.
The girl nodded, and gave Mindy a small instrument.
"This is an ocarina." Mindy muttered. She played the Song of Storms.
"It helps to know what you're playing." She said happily, standing in the newly-pouring rain.
Bakura jumped down soon after, and received yet another ocarina. Mindy and Bakura walked off toward the exit of the forest.
