Rose never really understood why she had been given the Land of Melody and Rain. She didn't understand it at all. She was the Seer of Light after all; what did that have to do with songs or downpours? Nonetheless, Rose did her best. The game had given her LOMAR, so that was what she would work with.
LOMAR did not, however, inspire any sort of fondness in her. It was a starting point, no more and no less. She learned about the game and its mechanics there. She communicated with Kanaya there. That did not make it a place of comfort or a place she sought out.
It wasn't that Rose hated her land. It simply didn't inspire any feelings for her, positive or negative. There was nothing about it to tie in to her title, and nothing about it to help her destroy the game. It simply was.
Before she left for Dave's land, Rose stepped out into the rain one last time and listened to the faint melodies she could hear coming from her land. It was a goodbye of sorts, after all, since she wasn't sure if she would ever return. There was nothing sentimental about it, however. It was merely something she felt obliged to do.
Then she headed into the gate that would take her to the Land of Heat and Clockwork with absolutely no hesitation. The Seer of Light had a very important job to do, after all.
