The Beginning

It was finally happening; Destina was getting married to Roman. Oh, how they both longed for this day for many years they had been together. Destina peeked through the curtains to see Roman fidget with his Spartan armor, she smiled as he physically showed that he was nervous while only Destina's face would give her emotions away.

Destina stepped back from view of her friends and other people that decided to watch the event. She quickly checked her brown hair to feel the band was still holding her curls with a few tendrils hanging near the nape of her neck, quickly glanced down to be relieved to know that she was still wearing her light blue wedding dress with a white sash.

Destina discussed with Roman that she felt better if she represented both Greece and China. Roman didn't mind, he just wanted to be married to his goddess.

Destina pressed her fingers to her left cheek to feel heat gather to her face. She was more than ready to get married to her Spartan. She exhaled a breath that she was unaware that she was holding and the curtains went up.

Roman sucked in a breath and stopped his fidgeting when he caught sight of his bride, as did the observers when Destina started walking down the aisle. She was his goddess, forever.

Destina held her head high as she kept her eyes on Roman, also unaware of the threat that was coming to reveal the upcoming disaster. Her death.

Roman knew his eyes held horror as he looked at his bride's shocked gaze, blue to brown. He inwardly cursed when he felt sluggish as he ran to try and save his bride from her doom; Destina was only no more than halfway down the aisle too.

Destina felt terrified as her light brown eyes met Roman's shocked and doomed blue gaze. Destina saw a flash of Roman's soldier coming at her with a dagger as she turned to face her demise, somehow. She knew that the man she loved most was trying to rescue her, but she also knew it would be too late.

Roman watched in agony and pain as he watched his bride cringe and fall to the ground after his soldier cut the major artery in her throat.

Destina cupped her left hand to her throat as she felt blood gather past her fingers, she was choking on her blood as Roman tried to save her.

Roman watched in pain, horror and agony as Destina's gaze lost the light of life she once had. She was gone because his current soldiers believed that a weak woman shouldn't bring him down. "NO!"

Roman's black hair hid the tears that were shed for the one woman that changed him deeply, he held his dead bride close as his younger sister hugged him for a moment before she handed him the dagger that laid nearby. He knew how his soldier was going to rot in the depths of hell, killed like how his wife was murdered.
