Jeremie's Poem:
Before I met you, Aelita, I was alone
No friends, no one to hang with, no one to know.
Withdrawn in myself, with nothing much to do.
Until the day my lucky star shone for me.
That day I found a computer in an abandoned factory.
I turned it on and I met a virtual being. A girl. You.
My life changed forever, in the best possible way.
Since then your presence has brightened my every day.
Your voice, your smile, your face, and your mind.
Your wavy pink hair, your actions so kind.
Some would say I have it bad for you.
But I think that I have it good.
Whenever we talk to each other
I feel understood.
You make my heart beat, you make my brain race.
A word from you can draw heat to my face.
Whatever I did for you, I don't need any thanks.
Your happiness has always been reward enough.
My only regret is that I couldn't help faster
And that I couldn't always be up to snuff
That I let bad things happen to you and make you sad
That sometimes my actions or words made you mad.
I hope you'll forgive me, Aelita. Please, do.
I know that I could never be worthy of you.
But you love me anyway, and for that I am grateful.
And I love you too. I think our encounter was fateful.
