Robin Hood slowly walks away from everyone, his friends new and old. Having already said goodbye he continues his journey. In his last few moments on this glorious earth that he had spent protecting, he wants to stay brave but he is still scared about what is to come.

The pain is still there though and again he's reminded of his earlier battle and that he is going to die, and he pauses a bit crouching down lightly, and considers looking back and he almost does but then stops. Thinking about his adventures and his friends. How he met them all and how he has saved the people, his people more than once. Robin knows that if he looks back now he will break down and in turn cause everyone else to break. Instead, he slowly gets back up and continues walking in his own kingdom. Sherwood Forest, the home he has lived in and where he's made friends, enemies and has had far more adventures than thought possible. This is where he belongs and where he will stay forever.

Eventually, he sits down. His back pressed against a rough tree and feeling the dirt beneath him. The pain worsens a bit more, but then he sees her. His beautiful Marian. His brain knows it should be impossible she isn't here with him, not anymore, but his heart refuses to listen. Seeing her feels like the most natural thing in the world. He sees her walking around the trees and it brings a smile to his face and it seems like some of the pain is numbed by her being here, but its still there spreading throughout his body. His brave Marian, she is still the only women he had loved and will ever love.

She continues getting closer and he still can't believe she is here near him almost close enough to touch. "Marian?" he breathes out. Its been so long since he has seen her, his wife. His memories haven't done justice to how beautiful she is. "I have waited for you." She answers back a smile slipping on to her own face. "I knew I would find you again," he says and it brings tears to his eyes and he lets out a small laugh that she easily returns. "Its time." Marian says suddenly bringing her hand up and Robin does the same and as soon as they touch his pain worsens. "The greatest adventure is yet to come." After her words the pain vanishes and all he feels is relief and the sensation of being free.

His soul has left his body, which slumps back against the tree, but his soul is now tied to Marian's. His soul lifts itself up and all he can do is stare into her eyes. Bringing his left hand up to her face feeling her smooth skin and he smiles almost as wide as he can, and he finally speaks "My wife." She responds back smiling as wide as him happiness spreading from her to him and back again. "Now and forever, my love."

They kiss. Robin is with the one person he has loved the most, and their love will live on forever. His life is complete, but a new chapter is just unfolding. Wrapping her hands around Robin Hood's neck Marian deepens the kiss and then shortly ends it pulling back slightly giggling in the process. He wraps his arms around her and she hugs him back while he picks her up spinning her in circles. Their laughter echoing upon the trees in the forest an endless sound of peace and happiness.

Even to this very day the famous Robin Hood resides in Sherwood Forest protecting the people of Nottingham. Protecting his forest and his people. With his wife and gang by his side they still are helping people when they need it and outsmarting the evil. For Robin Hood lives on.
