For Eternity

"Raven, please, open your door."

Behind the entrance with her name on it, the girl with deep violet hair rested her back on the cold metal of her door. Her cheeks were deeply tinted red and her eyes held shock and sadness at the same time.

'I can't… believe it.'

That morning…

It was one of those wonderful mornings when everyone at the tower could just relax and do whatever they wanted. Starfire was walking Silkie, Cyborg was working on a new ship for the Titans and Robin… well he was being Robin.

Beast Boy had been all day trying to beat Cyborg's highest score at a video game while Raven was in the other end of the couch reading a book.

Raven turned the pages of her book almost forgetting that the changeling was in the same room, for the last 30 minutes he had been silently staring out the window. But then…

"Umm, Raven?"

At the sound of his voice, the half demon felt something strange coming out from Beast Boy's emotions. For the first time she just put down her book and looked at him concerned.

"What is it?"

"I- Well… You see…" He hardly spoke as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I really need to tell you something."

Raven was now getting irritated by his behavior but tried to relax.

"Just say it. I don't have all-"

"IthinkI'minlovewithyou!"

Present…

"Raven, please, open your door."

No answer.

"Let's talk about this, ok?"

She wiped a tear, took a deep breath and opened it still glancing at the floor.

"Raee…" He knew she was crying. He knew why she was crying. He took a step closer and hugged her. "Close your eyes so you don't feel them. They don't need to see you cry."

"I'm sorry, Beast Boy." Said parting from the hug. "I can't go through this, my emotions and…" she couldn't finish as she remembered what happened with Malchior.

"Raven, I know you're afraid. And I know exactly why."

She stopped crying, her eyes no longer held tears, but shock. How could he see through her soul?

"I'm afraid too." He confessed looking away for an instant. "I mean, this morning we were… just friends and that was perfect. I didn't want to feel anything for anyone. I didn't believe in love after… you know. But I was wrong. The past is done. We've been betrayed, it's true. Someone said the truth will out, but I believe without a doubt in you."

After a pause she whispered with a hint of sadness in her voice. "Why me?"

He smiled to her and caressed her cheek softly. "You were there for me, you gave me what I needed and you are a friend indeed. Remember yesterday? We talked about your mom and dad. What they did that made you happy, what they did that made you sad. I know you want to be free, that you want to feel... and I hope you'll find your freedom for eternity."

"After that we sat and watched the sun go down." He smiled at the memory. "We are not the same, we've grown so much closer now."

She smiled that almost unseen smile of hers, but for Beast Boy, that was the happiest smile he had ever seen upon her lips. That simple gesture showed she felt the same way for him. He took a breath and took her hands.

"Rae, I can't promise I will heal you but if you want to… I will try."

Her eyes widened still unbelieving what was happening.

"And I know you'll find your freedom."

She came back to reality and wrapped her arms around him happily.

"As long as you are with me."

"For eternity." He whispered before leaning down to kiss her.

I know it's short.. and not that good.. but I made it in a rush. I still hope you had liked it. I listened this song and I felt like writing something about it ^^ Soooo you know which song is this inspired on? Hahahaha.
