"Fantastic! It's just another day where no one will buy anything from my shop." Melissa groaned as she fell out of the small wooden bed.

The sun beamed down through Melissa's window and shined right onto her face. It made her hazel eyes glow a golden yellow but this soon faded as she leapt up from the ground and walked over to her dresser. Her long disheveled black hair swayed as she searched the dresser's drawers for a clean outfit to wear. It was then she realized most of her decent clothes were all piled up around her messy little room. Melissa threw her hands up in disbelief and pouted. Finally, she decided to wear a plain blue dress with short sleeves and a brown cropped cut jacket. Melissa stumbled around her room and spotted her brown boots folded up by her bed. She quickly slipped them on each foot and left the room carefully without tripping over the mess of things that cluttered her floor. After washing up, she raced across the hall and down the stairs to a white wooden door. She plucked a silver key out of the pocket on her jacket and clumsily placed it into the keyhole to unlock the door. Slightly creaking, the old door opened allowing her see shelves filled with the colorful flower arrangements and a little desk with a stool behind it.

"Hello my beautiful little flowers! I'm sorry it's always so lonely here when I'm gone. One day someone will come by and take you lovelies to a better home!" Melissa cheered with a meek smile on her face.

Melissa was the owner of a small flower shop but ever since "Freya's Flower Emporium" opened her shop lost all of its customers. Her shop had two floors and she lived on the top floor to cut back the expenses of having her shop and a house. The day had started off like any other normal day for Melissa and when she was finally sitting on the stool behind her desk she picked up her favorite fantasy novel and began to read to herself. To her surprise, the tiny golden bell rang as the door to her shop let the light from the outside rush in like a waterfall. Along with the light, a boy, with sandy-blonde hair, a light tan, and piercing blue eyes stepped into Melissa's lowly shop. Melissa was so surprised by the boy that she fell right off her stool and landed promptly on her bum.

"Oh I'm sorry, did I startle you?" The boy ran over to Melissa with a concerned look and put his hand out to try and help her up.

"Does it look like I'm fine to you? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Melissa pushed the stranger's hand away and slowly but surely got up from the ground.

She dusted off her dress and when she finally calmed down she realized the boy had just been staring at her.

"What? Did I do something wrong? What's with the goofy look?" Melissa uttered as she crossed her arms over her chest defensively.

"No, it's just I'm not used to people refusing my help with such rudeness is all." The boy replied sourly.

"Well, sorry I don't exactly remember me asking you to help me up, besides it was your fault I fell in the first place." After saying this Melissa slid back onto her stool and picked up her book to show the boy she had no further interest in their conversation.

"Hey, listen I'm sorry I think we got off on the wrong foot. My name's Artemis but you can call me Arty. I saw your flower shop and since Mother's Day is tomorrow I wanted to buy some flowers for my mom." Artemis stepped back from Melissa to give her space and smiled as brightly as he could.

With this being said Melissa threw her book down, ran over to one of the shelves in the room, and picked out one of her flower arrangements. At that moment she just knew her luck had changed.

"Y-you really want to buy flowers from my shop?" Melissa's expression told you how dumbfounded she was.
