Winter. I huddled in my jacket. I breathed out white clouds. I was like watching a silent movie; black and white with no sound. I spotted a familiar purple cat on the swingset. I stroked my white quills and approached her. No words were spoken between us, there was no need. I offered my hand out to her, and she took it, getting off the swing. She smiled at me. Her smile made the world stop. I turned away and grabbed her hand, trying to hide my blush. To her, we were just friends, right? We walked for awhile, not saying anything. Finally, we stopped by a great pine tree. We sat in the snow, just taking it all in: the beautiful landscape, the dancing snowflakes, the cold whispering wind. I was completely at peace, a feeling that I haven't felt in a long time. Until something cold and slushy hit my face. I opened my eyes and saw her in front of me, smiling and hands behind her back. I stood up, and gathered my own snow. She started to run, but I was faster. I hit her in the back. We continued our running and chucking slush until we both laid down, panting. I offered her my hand which again she took, and we started brushing the snow off ourselves. We then continued our walk. We found a bench and sat down. I had my hand out slightly to the side, hoping that she would take it. She did. We sat like that in peace for a while. I then felt a weight on my shoulder. I opened up my eyes and her head was resting there. She was blushing slightly. I looked into her eyes and saw the same sparkle in her eyes as were in mine whenever I saw her. I leaned in close, and kissed her. She didn't hesitate, and kissed back. When it ended, we both looked up to the sky. No words were said, none were needed.
