Mentor Ji did a great work putting them together to create a real team of Power Rangers: a team where they could trust each and find moral support. To make this happened, Ji put them at the training field.
Fighting in couples made the rangers laugh even if they got hurt, which was a perfect way to make them bond faster as a family. It made them want to help each other by giving advices and encouraging words to cheer them up.
In that day, training was going well between Mia and Emily, and at the same time Mike trained with Kevin and Jayden. The red ranger however, was more concerned at supervising his teammates to help them improve their battle skills.
"Mia, if you hold your sword from the grip with both hands, it's less likely that you're gonna miss your target. That way you can win." The red ranger glanced over to the pink ranger.
She gave him a nod of the head. "Alright, thanks." In effect, when Mia followed her advice she got to Emily. Mia's sword clashed against the yellow ranger's sword making it hit the ground. Emily tried to lift her sword back on guard but Mia was fast enough to swing her own sword to attack again.
The blades from the swords hit each other, sending waves of vibration down to Emily's hands. "Point!" Mia called.
"Hey! That's not fair." The yellow ranger frowned rubbing her hand from the harsh sensation. "Why didn't you help me first, Jayden?"
"Sorry" Jayden gestured.
"You wouldn't need any help if you were taller." Mike interrupted, holding back a laugh. "You handle that sword real good, but your height doesn't help you."
Emily looked at him with killer eyes but then turned her lips in a sweet smile. "Yeah. I'm aware that if I was taller I could do so many things."
"Em, come on. Let's start again" Mia pulled her friend's arm bringing her attention back to practice. Just as Emily and Mia restarted their fight the boys interrupted them.
"Let's make this more interesting," Mike said. "You girls against me and Kevin."
"Oh, yeah?" Mia turned her head to Kevin. "And what's the prize?"
"There's no price." Mike answered for the blue ranger. "But there is a consequence. Whoever loses has to do the laundry for the winner team for a whole week."
The yellow ranger gasped.
"Mike, Kevin you guys are so inappropriate" Mia told them.
The boys turned to look at each other.
"Why?" Kevin asked confused.
"Mia, it's only a bet." Mike tried to explain her. "There's nothing bad about it."
"Oh, really?" Emily raised her eyebrows backing up Mia's point. " Let's put it this way. You're guys, we're girls."
"Yeah, I caught that." Mike nodded.
"There is a big difference between us." Mia gestured to her chest.
"Oh…" Mike winced. "…but what with the bet?"
"If Emily and I win…" Mia started, "are you guys going to wash our underwear?"
The blue and green rangers started to laugh. Of course Mia and Emily wouldn't win. Kevin and Mike were the men, the strongest, and Kevin the smartest. The girls had no chance. Zero.
But immediately they realized it. "Wait, what? your, your….no!" Mike refused. He looked to Kevin "Dude we can't do that…"
"So girls…" Kevin had an idea, ignoring Mike's words "If you win we will wash your clothes. But if we win you'll wash our boxers."
"Dirty war" Mike grinned, suddenly feeling a wave for victory. "We'll win."
The pink and yellow rangers looked to each other. They hesitated. But Emily took the initiative. "Ok then. Deal." She extended her hand to Kevin and then to Mike.
"It's a deal" Mike smirked. The boys walked off as Mia turned furiously to the yellow ranger. "Do you know what you did?"
"A deal" Emily shrugged, her voice normal.
"Oh, really?" The pink ranger rolled her eyes.
Emily nudged her gently and darted her eyes away. "Yes" she answered "And I'm sure you don't want to lose, so we should start training now."
