Lucius called Dobby to his bath "Bring your despicable arse over here bend down over the side of the tub" Dobby did as told and as he did so his rag moved away showing his dirty body. Lucius never knew the child was his and stayed in the dark about it for the rest of his days until his son Draco found the elves birth certificate and called for her and for Dobby "What is the meaning of this dammit explain to me now" he yelled tossing the birth certificate at Dobby's feet. Dobby looked at the birth certificate before he burst into tears telling Draco everything about what his father did to him.
