Disclaimer: I still sort of kind of have one day of high school left...

A/N: I don't usually write fluff but this is for melindaWRITER because "forgiving me eventually" for breaking her heart earlier with "Hollow" will simply not do. I hope you and your tear stained laptop forgive me Melinda.

"You know once we get to the precinct it's hands off right," Kate Beckett informed her boyfriend—no, that didn't sound right, partner—as he leaned in for a kiss.

Castle pouted a little as she pecked him on the cheek. "You mean I can't touch you at all?"

"No Castle," she replied, rolling her eyes, "we have to keep it professional at the precinct."

The summer Kate spent away from the precinct—and in Richard Castle's loft—had been a nice change but she was becoming restless. She needed to do something productive; plus she missed the precinct and the boys. Castle had noticed her restlessness as well so when Gates had offered her, her job back he told her to jump at the opportunity. She tried to argue saying that she didn't want to slip back into the rabbit hole.

"Kate your job is important," he had told her, "you help so many people. You love it Kate and you don't have to give it up. It's not being a detective you have to stay away from; it's your mother's case."

Kate agreed and now it was her first day back at the precinct. Neither the boys nor Gates knew that Kate and Rick were dating yet, and Kate planned to keep it that way for a little while. If Gates found out Caste was for sure going to get kicked out of the precinct. It was hard enough getting him back in this time; Castle had to use his connections.

"So no sex in the interrogation room?" the writer joked, earning him another eye roll from Kate. "The elevator?" he tried again. Kate gave him a look and shook her head before starting to walk away.

"Come on Castle we're going to be late."

"So I can't even give you a kiss in the precinct?"

She threw a pillow off the couch at him and went to get her shoes.

Later that day when Beckett was going through some old files that had to be reviewed Castle stated to get bored. Even he could only play angry birds for so long.

"Castle, you're staring away," Beckett said under her breath.

"But I'm bored," he whined, "and you're really hot."

"Your staring is distracting," she informed him, "you really need to stop."

"Because all you can think of is tearing my clothes off and showing me what a bad boy I am?"

She was pretty sure that her face gave away that, that really was what she was thinking but she didn't tell him that.

"I'm right aren't I?" he gloated. "You're the one who came up with the whole no touching rule."

My mistake, she thought, because I really want to shove you in the elevator and have my wicked way with you right now.

He seemed to read her mind and he smirked. "I may not be able to touch you right now but do you know what you didn't say I couldn't do?"

"What?" she asked warily.

He grinned as he set something down on her desk and stood up to go get some coffee. "Give you a kiss."

As her partner walked away she couldn't help but laugh at the single Hershey's kiss sitting in front of her.

The End

It was short but hopefully sweet.
