Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

"Gareki-kun is a liar~" Yogi crooned once they were settled into their places in the spaceship. He peered over the back of his seat at Gareki. His lavender eyes twinkled with mischievous excitement, but he might as well have been playing a simple child's game of peek-a-boo. Beside him, the elderly doctor had dozed off.

Frowning, Gareki looked up from Nai's sleeping face. "What?"

"You say you're sticking around for the bracelet, but I think you're lying," Yogi explained. It was clear from his sly smile that he thought he was dishing out some juicy secret.

Gareki said nothing, offering only a flat look. He crossed his arms and turned away.

Nai sighed softly as he shifted in his sleep.

"You just want to stay by Nai-chan, don't you, Gareki-kun? Ah-ah, I admit I'm a little jealous." Yogi gave a small pout then tilted an eyebrow thoughtfully. "But I suppose I can also understand why. Nai-chan is just too cute, isn't he?"

Gareki gave a loud sigh. Tapping impatiently on his thigh, he held back the punch he itched to throw.

"It's okay, Gareki-kun. It definitely isn't hard to understand why you're really sticking around!" Yogi exclaimed, mimicking Gareki's crossed arms and nodding.

"What's it to you? Why do you even care?" Gareki finally replied with a glare.

Yogi blinked.

"I wish you wouldn't be so cold! I want to get to know you more, Gareki-kun," he said, unconsciously leaning closer. Gareki reeled back almost too quickly, pushing himself into the back of his seat like a bristling cat. His cheeks had tinted the slightest shade of pink. With a small huff, he turned away from Yogi's gaze for the second time.

"…So what if you're right? It d-doesn't really have to do with you," Gareki murmured under his breath.

"Oh, but it does, Gareki-kun! Didn't I just say I wanted to get to know you more?" Yogi smiled a smile anyone would regret missing, but, of course, Gareki did. The wall, or at least anywhere besides the space directly in front of him, seemed to peek his interest and continued to until they landed, much to Yogi's rare, Gareki-induced melancholy.
