Author's note: Heyyy trying out a YJ one-shot. I love YJ, the new season is coming AND I'M SO EXCITED so let's just throwback to the good 'ol beginnings and make up some fluffy one-shot, season one team before Zatanna joined. Enjoy! :D
"Robin, B-01."
The zeta-tube lit up, and Robin bounced in.
"Heyy guyss, I'm...guys? KF?" The whole team was crowded around the TV. Unlike usual, when Conner would sit usually alone watching static, the TV was turned on to a news channel. Robin nearly did a double take when he walked over and saw what they were watching.
"Oh, hey Rob. Took you long enough. We were just watching the News on this rich kid, Richard Grayson." A wide mischievous smile spread across Wally's face and Robin wanted to smack him right there. Wally went on.
"With all your training and you living in Gotham and all, you must be very familiar with this kid. Do you... wannatellusmoreabouthim?" The whole team turned to Robin curiously, and Robin made a mental note to get payback for this later. He gritted his teeth, smiling creepily at Wally.
"Well, KF, why don't you tell us what you know about him first. You seem to know a lot, and why are you all so curious about him?" Robin asked suspiciously, KF just shrugged it off.
"Well, the kid's the ward of the billionaire, Bruce Wayne, the kid's rich, he can buy anything he wants.."
"And he's cute." Everyone stared at Artemis, who was staring at the screen, which was paused on an image of Richard Grayson at a Wayne Enterprise event with Bruce Wayne. M'gann was staring dreamily at him too.
"His eyes are very pretty, their such a nice shade of blue." Robin had to keep from bursting out laughing, and he could see Wally snickering off at the side. Artemis turned to them, noticing their stares.
"What? He is. I've met him before, we go to the same school. I mean I didn't know it was him, but he is cute. A little weird though. He just took a picture with me before running off." A big grin spread across Robin's face.
"Wow, Artemis. I didn't know you lived in Gotham. Go to the same school as this Grayson kid? I thought you were Green Arrow's niece, and he lives all the way in Star City." Robin watched in amusement as Artemis floundered momentarily for an answer.
"Oh, well, you see, err, my parents just thought that, erm, Gotham Academy would provide better education for me, yeah." Artemis smiled, trying to cover up her error, but now Robin had more questions to ask her. He smiled widely.
"Well, Arty, since you find this Grayson kid cute...would you date him?" Robin watched in glee as Artemis turned red.
"What? I...well...maybe, I mean he's cute, but he's a bit of a nerd too." Wally burst into a laughing fit, and Robin smacked him lightly on the head, annoyed.
"What? What's so funny, Kid Mouth?" KF waved it away, still snickering.
"Nothing, nothing. I met him before in an exchange program. The guy can be a little bit of...a dick." Robin elbowed him hard, rolling his eyes but smiling anyway. KF sped over to Artemis and slung an arm around her.
"What about me, would you date me?" He winked, but Artemis rolled her eyes, pushing him off.
"Maybe if you weren't so annoying and didn't talk so much, I would, but dream on, Kid Mouth." Everyone laughed as Wally pouted playfully and mocked a hurt expression, while Artemis acted annoyed, although everyone knew she was enjoying herself too.
