Me Randomly Talking: So, obviously, I am taking a break from Sight. There are three reasons:

I'm lazy. Deal with it. :P

School work. Blame my math teacher for the lack of my creativity

I want the meeting between her and the Flock to be just right so I'm waiting until it hits me (Even though Fang had to be an idiot...How can he defeat Erasers and not block a pillow?)

So anyway, I decided to get my creative juices pumping by writing a side fan fic. Here it is. Enjoy, mon amis~

Love. To me, love was like a unicorn: a beautiful, magical being that was so rare to the point of myth. I worked as a librarian of California Tech in Los Angeles. It was a place where love was nothing but a vague theory disproved time and time again. Sometimes it felt that I was the only one there who thought love was not a broken equation, but something beautiful and wonderful that took place all too rarely in people's lives. I was a hopeless romantic in a world full of unfeeling numbers and algorithms. It was appropriate that I was in charge of the small fictional section of the library.

Although it was rarely used in the University, I cherished the few romantic novels, making sure that they were well organized and cleaned. One day, I was carefully bandaging the spine of one of my favorites, Amor Amor, when I looked up and saw him. He was carrying a few very large and scientific looking books, thumbing through one of the smaller ones as he walked. His bright blue eyes stayed on the book as his long, jean-clad legs moved in precise yet graceful strides. His sneakers squeaked as he walked smoothly across the linoleum floor, never looking up once from his book. I noticed how his Spiderman tee-shirt moved across his pale, smooth skin, and how his thin, powder pink lips were pursed in concentration. I took all this in, not realizing he was walking my way until he was directly in front of me. His eyes flickered up to glance at me briefly, acknowledged my presence, and then went back to his book. "May I please check these out?" he asked vacantly as he continued to read. I blushed when his eyes met mine. "S-sure", I responded, quickly picking up all of the books, except the one he was reading, and took them to the computer to be scanned.

As I scanned Physics for the Superior Mind volumes 1 through 7 with my remote, I glanced at him through my bangs. He was cute. And not in that beefy, overly tan way that my friend Angie, the person in charge of technology and resources, went for. He was….. unconventionally cute. His chestnut brown hair was cut in a short, no-nonsense manner. In fact, everything about him looked precise and controlled, even down to his perfectly pressed Spiderman vs. The Green Goblin tee. He still seemed to have some childish aspects about him though. Even with his face set in a deeply concentrated expression, he still had bright blue eyes rimmed with long lashes, making his facial features look boyish and charming even while scrunched up in concentration. I was to the point of staring now, but of course I didn't realize it until he had looked up at me again, this time a bit longer than before.

"Ma'am?" he said, his voice hinting at a light Southern accent.

My head was still in a trance….God, that accent is charming…..

"Ma'am? Are you done with my books..?" he said, causing me snap out of my daze.

"Oh, sorry!" I said, blushing as I shoved the scanned books into his arms.

"It's fine. Goodbye." he said, giving me a ghost of a smile before turning away with his books and striding off to the doors of the library. Before I had even been able to wave a feeble goodbye, he was gone.
