A/N: A quick poem I did because I was lacking inspiration on my bigger stories. It's about Kireihana and Youko Kurama, about a month after they first met. Obviously, they're still getting to know each other and Kurama's still studying plants. You can probably tell who's saying what, and if you can't, then just ask in a review. WARNING: This poem doesn't make much sense unless you've read "Deep Roots," one of my fics.

Disclaimer: I dun own YYH or Kurama in any of his forms, though I wish I did. He could help me and 'Kaasan with the plantage we have taking over our house. Mmm. Plantage. But I DO own Kireihana, and every aspect of her, including the actual inspiration for the necklace Kurama gets her for her birthday that I haven't introduced yet. I say it's the inspiration because mine is plastic and from a flea market, Kireihana's is crystal and from who-knows-where. Steal Kireihana without permission and DIE. Stealing is BAD. Don't listen to Kurama. And don't sue me.

Ha. Stealing is wrong.

Please. Your studies of the plants should be a top priority, far above stealing and gallavanting with women.

-Stealing and gallavanting with women are top priorities.-

-I thought you liked me.-

Only when you're good.

-Good how?-

Like, when you're honest. Honesty is the best policy.

-Honesty? How often do you lie to save our skins?-

I said it was right, not that it was always possible. You do want to live long enough to get that fame, right?

-Of course I do. And obviously, you want me to, too.-

What do you mean?

-I get you the best birthday gifts.-

Yes, but you have to PAY for them. ...At least, eventually.

-So you have your dark side, too?-

And I'm sure you have your light side.

-Maybe I do.-

And maybe we're nothing alike.

-But we're also exactly the same.-

We fit together perfectly.

-We're excellent partners.-
