Percy and Annabeth were sitting on the beach at camp watching the sun set in the horizon when Percy suddenly sat up. "Annabeth, look! It's a duck!"
Annabeth sat up from where she had been laying with her head on his lap. She looked out at the ocean, "No Percy, that's a loon."
Percy furrowed his eyebrows. "Aren't they the same thing?"
"No Seaweed Brain," Annabeth rolled her eyes at him, "They may be around the same size, but loons are usually grey or black. Ducks can come in different colors. A mallard duck's feathers, for example, have a few colors in them."
"See! You said that they are the same thing!" Percy did a little happy dance while still staying seated.
"I said that they were the same size." Annabeth shook her head exasperated, "You weren't even listening were you?"
Percy smiled his classic lopsided grin, "Nope!"
Annabeth rolled her eyes again, "Oh, what am I going to do with you?"
"Kiss me?" Percy begged with his baby seal eyes.
Annabeth shook her head, "Not until you say that I'm right."
"Um, no." Percy said smirking. He then swooped in and stole a kiss from Annabeth before she could react.
Annabeth huffed but she was trying not to smile. She failed though and laughed at Percy, "Oh Seaweed Brain."
Percy smiled as she laid her head back down on his lap. He smiled down at her gently even though she couldn't see it. He caressed her curls. "I love you wise girl."
"I love you more." Percy could just sense the smirk she was wearing.
Percy donned a matching smirk. "I love you most. Ha! I win!"
Annabeth snorted at Percy's childishness, but then went silent. There was a few moments of beautiful silence as they watched the sun go down and the loon flew away, but then it was suddenly broken by Percy.
"Hey, wise girl?"
"What Percy?"
"Aren't loons freshwater animals?"
