Preparing The Vessel To Contain The Fragment Of The Soul
Incantatem: "Parare receptaculum infinciendi."
Incantation to be uttered while contact of the flesh is established with the receptacle, may it be inanimate or animate. Caster's inanimate receptacle should be placed in a state that only accepts the touch of the devil's magic. Caster's animate receptacle should be suspended in a illusory state.
Committing The Blood Sacrifice
Incantatem: "Sanguinem sacrificium."
Incantation intentionally separates the soul from the flesh. The sacrifice ensures that only this incantation's use will render the sacrifice acceptable, the exiled soul will then be used as the medium of bondage. The incantation coupled with the intention ensures that every life taken will not break the taker's soul, only the sacrifice will.
The Caster is then required to consume some part of their sacrifice in flesh, which marks the initiation of the Caster's soul's splitting.
Creating Of The Space Within The Receptacle:
Incantatem:For receptacles, inanimate: "Receptaculum residentiae."
For receptacles, animate: "Utalitus locus adimidium."
Incantation results in the birth of space within the receptacle to house the part of the soul of the Caster.
The Splitting Of The Soul:
Incantatem: "Animam acorpore separabit."
Incantation causes a part of the Caster's soul to leave the whole. The part remains within the Caster, though separated from the entirety.
Extraction of the Soul Fragment:
Incantatem: "Excutere."
Incantation physically draws out the soul fragment from the caster's material being. This stage of the Horcrux creation signs the most fragile state of being. This stage marks the death of many a Caster, as the agony is intolerable, but the totality of the soul maybe extracted, killing the Caster.
Binding the Fragment to the Horcrux:
Incantatem: "Qwae tacit."
The soul of the sacrifice will be used as a medium of bondage to fuse the receptacle with the soul fragment of the Caster. Ensures the soul fragment cannot break away from the Horcrux.
Concluding the Creation:
Incantatem: "Donamihi aeternum."
Incantation terminates the process, seals the Horcrux, and stabilizes the Caster's disturbed soul. Establishes a palpable bond between the Caster and Horcrux.
A/N:
Yes. I actually sat down and wrote up an extensive, comprehensive guide on creating Horcruxes.
I need this information for my other stories, and the mere fact that Rowling never told us how they are made really made me want to sit down and write that exact thing up. So I did.
The incantations are all things I translated to Latin. I have read a few fictions where the process consists of only one or a few spells, but I have always thought of the process of breaking your soul and putting it elsewhere to be a complicated job, and I made sure it showed in my version of Horcrux creation. (Hint hint: did anyone notice there were seven stages? Seven seems like such an important number in the Hpverse, huh?)
If you happen to see any holes/disagreements with this, tell me! I love reading constructive criticism, and I would seize any chance to improve this fictional procedure I made up. The more complicated, the better ;)
Please review :)
