AN: Happy birthday TheGameNguyener! I wanted to write something for you today, so I wrote something about your favourite character, Luigi! I know it's short but I hope you like it anyway! And yes, this is based off Simon and Richter's reveal trailer.

~Finding Courage~

Luigi floated around his lifeless corpse, still rattled from whatever it was that had stared at him through the window. Even though it had scared him from reuniting with his body beforehand, he wasn't going to give up now. He needed to come back to life, he needed to get back to the Mansion to Mario and more importantly Daisy as she was no doubt worried sick about him at this point. He also needed to thank the blond man who had saved his spirit as without him he would more than likely be in Purgatory at this point, or Hell even. He shuddered at the thought before he stared down at his twisted body, blank eyes and mouth open in a silent scream. A horrible way to go no doubt.

Closing his eyes Luigi crossed his arms over his chest and focused on returning to his body, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't make himself stick. Panic surged inside of him, was it perhaps too late for him to reunite with his body? No, that couldn't be...

But each time he tried to merge himself with his body he kept floating back out, causing even more panic. He didn't understand, why wasn't it working? After several failed attempts he floated above his body again and pondered on what to do.

He couldn't be dead. He had to hug Daisy one more time, look into her beautiful eyes and tell her how much he loved her. And he couldn't put the strain of death on Mario either, he couldn't bear to think about what his beloved big brother would do if he found out he was dead. The last time he thought someone he cared about died he'd been stoic for months.

Closing his eyes once again he concentrated - concentrated on reuniting with his family and friends. Concentrated on being the courageous hero he knew he could be, just like his big brother. He felt himself sinking lower and lower, keeping his thoughts focused on the positives rather than the negatives.

And then... he opened his eyes.

He gasped for breath.

And he shakily stood, determination set in his eyes. He would make it out of the castle alive.
