FireandIce,by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Fire was destruction. It's like a monster that eats away everything – nothing is safe from fire. Plastic will eventually melt. Stone will eventually crumble. Metal with melt to, but it will harden into more metal, so he supposed it was sort of free of fire. And paper, oh paper burns.
Ice melts.
He wasn't that surprised to be claimed by Hephaestus. After all, fire had ruined his life. It was irony. Or maybe it was just bad luck.
Yeah, probably bad luck.
Maybe that was why he was attracted to Khione (besides the fact that she was hot in a very cold way). She was ice, water, the exact opposite of what had ruined his life.
Opposites attract, right?
Of course, over time he learned she wasn't that hot. She was cold to her core. It probably wasn't until his friends almost died because of her that he realized she was evil. (he also realized that he didn't like the cold).
That's what happens to ice in Texas. It melts.
Leo was never one for school, but there was this one poem that stuck in his mind. Something about the world ending in fire or ice (which was unnaturally close to how the world must fall, just supply "storm" instead of "ice"). He listened, and at the time, he had wished it to end in ice.
An ice cold death.
Then it wouldn't be his fault.
It seemed like everything that went bad was his fault.
But now he sure as hell wished it would end in Fire, because at least then he would be warm.
…
So yeah, that went nowhere. Enjoy
