Running from darkness
My heart is beating like tin can drums
As I'm running my legs go numb
My hands are shaking
I have tears in my eyes
This is when I sat down and started to cry
I wept and wept
And sobbed and sobbed
Until darkness came like an angry mob
As I drowned in darkness
My mind flashed with hate
So I stood there and excepted fate
Dark washed over me like dense cold fog
Then I fell through the sky
And then landed in a bog
I stood there all drenched and wet
Reality was playing hard to get
I ran through a door into a room of stone
And sitting there was a lady clothed in gold
She had no guards
Which was very strange
For she was the queen
And they had to be close at range
As she stared at me my spine gave a chill
She glared at me
If looks could kill
I walked up to the old cold throne
For I could do anything
We were alone
I raised my sword out of my belt
But to late she had called for help
I ran up to the queen
And slit her throat
She gave a whine
And then a croak
As she slid down to the tiled floor
I sat on the throne
And stared at the door
Guards came rushing in with fright
And they saw their queen
And put up a fight
But they were foolish
Downright fools
For they had brought the wrong tools
I killed them all with my might
That will teach them to bring a sword to a gun fight
I sat there on my throne
I was the only one there
Low and behold
I now had everything close at hand
I had the riches
And the wide open land
And everyone worshiped and singed
For their master
Me, the king.
