Alright, I got a new story for you all. Let me know what you think! Disclaimer: I don't own South Park or anything else referenced.
"No deegging holes on school property, Chreestophe. No shovels allowed in ze dorms, Chreestophe."
It is eight o'clock in the evening in South Park, but it is already dark out. A boy, around the age of fourteen, is making his way across the land owned by South Park Academy, shovel in hand.
"Stupid teachers, ordering me around. I can deeg holes wherever I want, dammit!" the boy says to himself. "Why, zis looks like a wonderful spot."
The boy has settled in at a spot at the far end of the field behind the school, by the start of a dense forest. He brings the shovel into the ground and starts digging.
For any other person, it would be next to impossible to dig a hole in South Park due to the frozen soil. Even during the summer, the ground never fully thaws out.
However, even during the final weeks of January, this boy can still dig faster than most other people. Before even twenty minutes have gone by, the only evidence of someone being in that hole is a tuft of brown hair sticking out and the clumps of dirt being flung out of the hole.
The temperature is dropping rapidly, but the boy takes no notice. He continues to dig, talking to himself in the meantime.
"Zey can geve me as many detentions as zey weesh, but when ze Mole wants to deeg, ze Mole deegs! I weel deeg as many holes as I want!"
The Mole climbs out of his hole and looks down. The hole is about ten feet deep. Content with the size, he moves down about thirty feet and begins to dig another hole, this time in the middle of the field. While digging, he glances up at the school and sees that the lights are being turned out. The Mole smiles to himself.
"Nine o'clock. Lights out! Too bad I'll be meessing eet. I have more eemportant theengs to do. For eexample, so much open space just waiteeng to be feelled with holes!" He goes back to his work of filling the field with holes.
Two hours later, the Mole has completed another three holes. He looks around a bit and decides on a spot near the back corner of the field. On his way over, he trips over something and falls.
He gets up and looks for what he tripped over. His eyes finally find it and he smiles to himself.
The Mole had tripped over an area of sod in the field an inch higher than the nearby ground. There were dozens of others spread out all over the field. These mounds were a result of the Mole himself. Whenever he dug a hole, the school filled it a few days later and laid sod on top of it. However, South Park wasn't the home of any good landscapers, so the sod was usually laid unevenly. It sometimes took a month for the ground to level out.
The Mole continued on towards his destination. Once there, he looked back towards the school. Even though it was after lights out, he saw several lights on. He could also see that people had their faces pressed against the window, looking outside. Although he wasn't very popular in school, he did have quite a few fans during the night.
He waved in the direction of the school, but he knew that they couldn't see him. Due to the lack of light, people could never see him unless he was near the building. This didn't stop them from trying to get a glimpse of him while he dug.
He set to work on the hole. About eight feet down, his shovel made a scraping sound, as if it was being dragged across solid rock. The Mole frowned. He knew the town's soil. The first layer of rock wasn't for another twenty feet.
He struck the rock again, and again. On the fourth strike, pieces began to break loose. The Mole continued this process for the next several minutes. Strike the rock several times, clear the pieces, repeat.
Eventually, he had enough pieces of the rock cleared away that he could see a small hole in it. He lifted his shovel and brought down forcefully. With a sharp CRACK, the ground beneath him collapsed and fell, bringing the Mole with it.
The Mole stood up, slightly dazed from the fall. He looked back up at the hole through which he had fallen. It was about four feet higher than his head. He wasn't going to be able to get back out. At least not that way.
The Mole then directed his attention to his surroundings. He was in some sort of concrete tunnel, lit only by low wattage light bulbs hanging here and there on the ceiling.
He began to walk down the tunnel. He didn't get far, however, before he came across an intersection.
There were openings in the tunnel going off in multiple directions. The Mole chose one and continued onward. Soon after, he reached another intersection.
Eet must be some sort maze, he thought to himself. Or, maybe… aha! A labyreenth!
As a mercenary, the Mole learned that various government agencies built elaborate tunnel systems underneath cities. He had heard at some point that there was one in South Park where top secret information was stored, but he had never investigated that rumor.
There was also word being spread by some of the older kids that every February, the school has a competition for all of the fifth year students, in which they are sent into a labyrinth beneath the school to try and find "special prizes".
It was a rumor, but… is it… true? Maybe the government does have one of those tunnel systems here, and the school uses it now and then.
The Mole stopped and looked around. He had started wandering while thinking, and now he had no idea where he was. He started to retrace his steps, but he had no clue about which way to go.
He tried one, but it lead him to another intersection, then another.
Realizing that getting out through the same entrance he used would be impossible anyways, the Mole gave up trying to get out and began to wander.
The Mole looked at his watch. 5:00 AM. He had been wandering for several hours. In a few more, people would notice that he was missing and begin wondering where he was.
He sat down against a wall to take a break. While he was sitting there, he noticed a light coming from a nearby tunnel that was brighter than the lights on the ceiling. The Mole got up and went towards it.
He came across a brightly lit room. This room was unlike all the others he had found in the tunnel, however. The room had several filing cabinets line up on the far wall.
The Mole ran over to the filing cabinets. Maybe he could find important documents in here that he could make money off of.
They were locked. He was about to leave the room when he noticed something he hadn't seen before. In the corner of the room, there was a box. Well, a wooden crate to be specific. The Mole walked over to it.
The crate was padlocked. He knew that he couldn't break the lock with his shovel. The wood, however…
A couple minutes later, the Mole had the crate opened. The inside was filled with papers. He picked up the top paper and began reading it.
He read the second page, then the third. As he read, a look of astonishment spread across his face.
"Holy shit," he muttered. "How is this even possible?"
The Mole grabbed all of the papers out of the crate. Under the papers, he found a CD. He grabbed that too.
The Mole took off running down the tunnel, faster than he had ever run in his life.
Let me know what you all think! Also, let me know if you are okay with me adding an OC. Smarv out!
