Our Forever

The cold stone in front of me is all that's left of what once was.
There's nothing more than a heartfelt memory of what I lost,
what we lost.

I remember your silken promise,
the words that fell from your lips,
as you said yes,
and the grace of your smile,
as I promised you forever in return.

Where's that forever now?
Why aren't you here now?
