Betty closed her eyes and could only picture the same thing again and again. His lips had been about an inch away from hers and she had run. Why? Oh why? His hands had been firmly on her back and then he spun her. His touch was magical and boy could he dance. Betty's heart was beating so fast recalling all the memories from that night. Then he had walked her home and she had asked him out. He had replied with this speech, and boy was it good. "I don't want to be the rebound guy… I want to be the guy!" Betty smiled. She would have to prove to him that she wanted him to be the guy, her guy.

Gio walked to his deli the next day. He couldn't help but smile. Betty had asked him out. His Betty. He had turned her down! He just hoped that she would forgive him. He arrived at his deli to find a note on the door. "Gio, I will come by later. I have a surprise for you. This should keep you going for the rest of the day, Betty x". Gio smiled as he looked down and saw a little square parcel sitting on the floor. He picked it up and walked inside his deli. Sitting down in the back room. He placed the present down on the table and slowly opened it. He looked down at the thing in front of him. It was a glass paperweight with Gio's Deli symbol engraved in the middle of it. He removed it and saw a bit of paper stuck to the bottom of it. "Look in the fridge!" it said. Gio walked through to the fridge and opened the door, still smiling. He found some papers sat on top of the water.

Gio stood still in the middle of the room, his back away from the door. Slowly, he read the papers: Gio held onto Betty and kissed her. He kissed her in a way she had never been kissed before. She was scared, but in a good way. His hands roamed her back as they stood kissing in the middle of his deli. His tongue felt good against hers. She ran her hands up his back and down the front of his chest to his waist, pulling him closer to her so that their bodies were flush. Gio didn't hear the door opening, as he was too absorbed in Betty's writing. When he felt a hand cover his eyes, he was shocked back into reality. "Ssssh!" the mystery voice said as the spun him round with their hand still covering his eyes. A set of lips covered Gio's and the hand was released from over his eyes. Blinded from the new light, he blinked a few times before seeing Betty stood in front of him, kissing him silly and he wasn't even responding.

Taking her into his arms, he pulled her to him and kissed her back. A "mmmmm…" noise escaped from Betty's lips as she lowered her hands to his ass and cupped it. Gio jumped a little bit. Pulling away from the kiss, Betty smiled brightly. "You like my writing then?" she said biting her lip. He nodded his head. "Hells yeah, I do! B, we have an hour or so before I open and before you have to be at work I'm guessing, so…" Gio started before Betty jumped on him, "that's the way you want it then?" Betty giggled whilst kissing Gio. "I just wanted to show THE guy that I wanted him in the best way I could," she said before covering him with kisses again.
