Rona's P.O.V.
"Puh-lease, why should I listen to you?" I rolled my eyes at Zachariah.
He nudged me before flashing his goofy grin at me "It won't be that bad, I promise."
"Fine, but if it is, I am never going to trust you again."
"That's fine with me!"
"You don't care."
Zach took off towards the beach without any warning. I sped towards him with a sly grin. Normally, he was always faster than me, but today I was faster. As I whipped past him, I turned back and waved. Zach narrowed his eyes then began to speed up slightly.
Zach skidded to a halt after about a minute. In my smug victory, I had been walking backwards, and hadn't seen the cliff that was about a yard away. He screamed "Stop!"
I had slowed down by now, but it wasn't enough to keep me from toppling over the cliff. First, my right foot fell, then my left. My horrendous, terror-filled scream, bounced off of the cliff walls, as I plummeted towards the ground. My eyes were locked shut because not only did I not want to see when I hit the ground, but I also didn't want the dull lifeless stare to creep anyone out.
Suddenly, I landed on something semi-soft. It felt almost like a carpet, but there was no way a carpet was just randomly floating in the sky. When I opened my eyes to see what had saved me, a shocking discovery awaited.
