None but us by Aurora Aura
They all had parents, families, relatives... and they seemed so close to them. Just looking at them made her sad, for she knew she had no one to go home to but Justin and Meghan. Sure, they were her family, her only family, but they weren't her mother or father. They had died, so long ago.
It was right after they had beaten the Doom Dragon and everyone had discovered that their families were still alive. Garet and his parents, grandparents, and sister and brother. Isaac with his parents. Jenna and Felix with their parents. Picard with his uncle back in Lemuria and Ivan with his sister in Contigo. Only Mia had no one. I wish they were still here, Mia thought, looking at her friends. They seem so happy, I wish I could see my parents again...
"Me too." A voice had called behind her. She looked around to see her best friend, Sheba, standing, but trying to bare a smile.
"How did you-" Mia had suddenly said, forgetting that Sheba was a Jupiter Adept.
"I Mind Read you." Sheba had said quietly. "They look so happy, don't they? I didn't even know my parents..."
"Oh, thats right..." Mia said, looking down and remembering what Sheba had told her about being the 'Child of the Gods'.
"I...I want to see them again... I have my not- father had home, where everyone pampers me and always asks me questions..." Sheba stammered as tears stung her eyes. It was a hard thing to have to live with, but of course, Mia had no idea.
"Sheba..." Mia had said and trying to calm down the furious Sheba.
"It's not fair! I have no one! Garet has his whole family, both Isaac, Jenna, and Felix have parents, and Picard has an uncle..." Sheba shouted.
"I have no one either." Mia said flatly with a wry smile. Sheba wiped her tears away and looked up at the blue-haired girl.
"You don't...?"
"Not if you include two annoying little kids who aren't even in the Mercury Clan who are waiting for you to come home." Mia said softly, patting Sheba on the head.
"We...are both alone?" Sheba said in almost a whisper. Mia smiled.
"It would seem so. None but us."
"O-Okay..." Sheba said and tried to grin. "Let's go talk to everyone and see what we will do next."
"Alright."
So side by side, they walked over to their party, facing the hard feelings of not being loved by a family.
That was my first fic yet, so please don't give me to hard of a time! ;;;
