Prolog
"Mom...mom…help me!" My sister screamed as I watched horrified at her and my mother.

"Hey Mills what's up?" said my best friend Andy as he walked by. I've known him since second grade when he moved to my small town.
"Not much, what about you, any news?" I said starting to yawn.
"Well Esmeralda sits next to me in science now. I can talk to her everyday in fourth bell." he said with admiration in his voice.
'How could one guy be so madly in love with a girl that doesn't take the time of day to talk to him? Well I have to admit she is gorgeous with her slick black hair and darkly tanned skin," I thought as he kept going on.
"Milli?" he said.
"Huh, yeah?" I said snapping out of my daze.
"Are you even paying attention?" he asked sharply.
"Now I am." I said sleepily.
"Good," he said, "I'm thinking about asking her to prom. Do you think she might already have a date?" he asked.
"Prom's not for another one and a half months boy," I said. "Or do you want her to think that you're mentally messed up? It's your choice," I finished with a smirk.
"Hey!" my friend Lily said cheerfully coming out of nowhere, as always. "I already talked to Isabella she said she's also allowed to come over tonight. Yay! This will be so much fun!"
Lily gets excited over everything, no joke. I told her we had bologna once and she got into one of her happy go lucky moods. She may be different but this girl is undeniably beautiful. She has a charming personality and beautiful deep brown eyes. Her reddish brown hair and semi tan skin just finishes it all off. I'm so jealous of her height too. She's somehow 5'9" when I'm stuck at a great whooping 5'2".
"So, what should I bring?" she asked.
"Lily, calm down. This is a sleepover, not a party. You do not need to bring anything. You pretty much have your own wardrobe at my house." I said. She's also wealthy but doesn't flaunt it.
"Jeez, I'm just trying to be festive." She said somberly.
"How about you be festive and, um, do me a favor." Andy said, making Lily blush.
"I got to go," said Lily shyly. "Call you after school?"
"Sounds good." I said but she had already been halfway down the hall chattering with the boy of my dreams, Matt. He is so gorgeous. He has sapphire blue eyes, pale skin, and black hair. He was as tall as Lily and had a masculine build. He always smells delicious. I bought a dress for prom that matched his eyes just in case he asks me. He seems different in some way but there's nothing wrong with someone being a little mysterious, is there?
"Hey Milli," came a deep masculine voice from behind me.
"Yeah huh," I said in a daze as I turned around. 'Oh crap, he's behind me. He must think I'm some kind of idiot.' I thought angrily.
He chuckled and I couldn't help but laugh at myself. "So, anyway, are you doing anything tomorrow?" He asked. "If your not, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out or something. On Sunday I will have to drag you out of your house."
"Why?" I asked confused. "And I'm not busy either of those days. What time do you want me at?"
"Oh, Milli, I want you all the time. Everyday. You're so beautiful but I can't bring myself to ask you out." Matt said.
"Oh you goober," I said, "I was asking you what time you were picking me up."
"Oh," he said jokingly as if he had known all along, "Um how about mid night?"
"Mid night?!" I asked. "What am I supposed to do? Sneak out and then come back and break and enter?"
"You won't need to," he replied, "I can use my gift to get you in and out." He said and walked away.
"His gift…? I thought as I headed for my last bell of the day.
