"Jinx."
It was cold. Wally could feel his muscles protesting from being so still for so long, hands stuffed deep into his pockets and every breath causing a fleet of fog to wisp from his mouth. This was Gotham, and he should have expected such frigid weather - and in a way, he had, dressed in a thick jacket and gloves, his Kid Flash uniform hidden carefully under his clothes - but it wasn't enough. He hadn't expected snow.
"Come home with me. Please." His feet crunched in the snow, giving away his distance from the pink-haired sorceress. Another deep breath, a sigh almost, the motion dancing in the sky like the exhale of a cigarette. "We'll give you anything you need, anything you want -"
"I don't know what I want, Wally." She reached up, tugging on her scarf, a gust of biting wind kicking up the snow around us. It could have been romantic, it could have been awe inspiring, if it hadn't been Gotham. But it was, and it was dark and looming, street lamps flickering and civilians stumbling down the sidewalk, drunk and disoriented. If it hadn't been for the swooping bat and it's family of birds, Wally wasn't sure he'd have felt safe enough making the trip here, super speed or not.
"Well, then, I'm gonna tell you what I want." He took another step, watching her tense as he stood next to her on the sidewalk of the bridge, before resting his arms on the railing, facing the opposite direction of her. His eyes never directly took her in; it was too risky with Jinx, and he was content knowing that she was right there, sitting on the bridge's wall and staring up at the starless sky. It was impossible to see stars in Gotham, and the snow only punctuated that fact by graying up the sky.
"I - the team - we want you with us. We want you on our side. You're welcome there," he said, finally risking a glance at her. She was pale from the cold, her cheeks and the tip of her nose as pink as her hair, and her hood had fallen down when she tilted her head back to look up. Her hair wasn't back in her customary pigtails - it was too conspicuous, even for Jinx, and with Batman being as close to the Teen Titans as he was, it would be a death wish for her to show up in his territory dressed as she usually was. "We're here for you. I know - I know you didn't have such a safe time with the Hive Five. More importantly... I'm here for you." He paused, standing up straight. She was looking at him, eyes swirling with something, some emotion he couldn't identify.
"There's always a way home, Jinx." His voice was soft. Wally took the few steps between them, wrapping his arms around the small pink-haired girl and hiding his face in her hair. "So... come back home. Come back home... with me. Please."
There was a rustling of fabric, and a vice-grip enveloped the teen, her chin on his shoulder and a sigh coming from her lips. It was as if she was solidifying him herself, making sure he was honest, hooking her legs around his waist in a full-body hug, uncaring of how vulnerable it made the two of them on the bridge. "If it makes you happy, Wally."
"Jinx, you make me happy."
"...Let's go home."
