Brown Bear
It was Storming.
A Bear was Stumbling Around,
Broken by a Fight He'd Been in,
Almost Fatal.
He Collapsed near a Tree,
He Picked his Heavy Head Up and,
Saw a Flower,
Attacked by the Rain.
He Huffed as He Stood up,
Alas, he Fell back down.
He tried to Crawl,
This time being Successful.
He Crawled over to the Flower,
A Red Rose.
He Sheltered It with His Body,
Through Twelve Days of Rough Storm.
He Knew that this Flower was Special,
so He Stayed by it's Side,
Without Food or Water,
He Protected It.
Finally the Rain let up,
and the Bear Examined the Rose,
It was Radiating an Aura.
The Aura Left the Rose and,
It Entered the Bear.
His Cuts and Wounds Healed,
And the Flower Transformed into a Bear.
"I am the Goddess of Nature,
You have Proven Yourself by Helping
Me Survive in this Climate,
Even though Your Body was Hurt.
I will Grant You a Wish, Bear."
"A Wish, huh?
I'll have to Think about It."
So the Bear Thought and Thought.
An Hour passed and He had his Answer:
"I Wish for your Hand,
I Would like You to See that I
Can be Wonderful.
Be With Me,
I Wish that."
The Goddess Nodded and Smiled as
She Stepped forward.
But Instead of Coming with the Bear,
She Fell to the Ground and Transformed
Back into a Flower.
The Bear Came back to the Flower and Growled,
"You Promise me a Wish,
but you Lied.
I see no Happiness here."
The Flower Shook,
And He knew what that Meant:
She still kept Her Promise.
The Bear Huddled Next to the Flower
And Slept next to the One He Loved.
"I Love You."
The Wind Blew,
The Rose Dropped a Petal.
Hmm, I think you guys will get the message wrong.
When it says the rose dropped a petal, it means she was crying…of happiness. I made this one happy. umm it think this type of poem is called free verse, that's why it didn't rhyme. This one of course, is Senri and Rose.
Review? Thank you. It would inspire me to continue writing poems for both our entertainment. It's a treat for me to write happy things! Request one?
