Ned opened his locker and noticed between his manueland science book a summer planner, his mom had given him recently. He grabbed it and flipped it to reveal page after page of unused paper.
The truth was he really didnt have anything planned to do this summer, except go to the mall and movies with Cookie, Moze, and any other friend who wanted to come, and watch T.V and play video games for endless hours. He let out a sigh as he as he imagined the coming summer. An idea hit him hit him as he looked at the picture of a beach four hours away given to him by his 21 year old cousin, Kirk. A reminder that Kirk had drivin there wit5h his friends for a week of partying.
He looked at the locker next to his were cookie was tighting some wires in his glasses.
´´So...Cook what are you doing this summer?´´ Ned asked him casually.
Cookie shrugged and answered,´´ Im going to my cousin´s house in El Paso, Texas for a the first week of June, and the rest of the summer I´m going to hang out with you guys, you know nothing big.´´
Ned nodded turned to the other side to face Moze, who was kneeling over the lockers reading a panphlet for Freshmen´s extra-curriculem for next year.
´´What about you Moze, what are you doing this summer?´´
Moze never taking her eyes of the panphlet said,´´ I like Cook,´´ indicating she had heard Ned´s previos conversation,´´I´m going to my grandma´s house in Seattlefor the second week of June then for the rest of the summer I´m going to hang with you guys.´´ She put the panphlet away then asked,´´ Why the sudden interest about our summer?´´
´´Because,´´ he saud, indicating them to huddle around his locker, then he pulled the picture of the beach of the push in pin,´´ imagine if we went to this beach for an entire week!´´
Moze took the picture from his hands and began to examine it.
´´Isnt this the beach in North Annabeth Island,that is connected to Port Annabeth by this mile long bridge?´´ Moze asked
Ned smiled and nodded happily,´´The very same one!´´
Moze closed her eyes then opened them and smiled,´´ Count me in!´´
Cookie who had been silent for the whole conversation said,´´ Me too!´´
Then Moze glad expression turned into a worried one,´´ But im not reallly into it if your parents are going, dont get me wrong their cool and all but you know its not going to be that fun with them along.´´
Cookie also begin looking worried when he heard that thought, but i dismissed it by saying, ´´ Who said anything aabout parents, my cousin Kirk is driving us and u know how he is a real party person.´´´
Cookie and Moze had meet Kirk in countless occasiones so theynodded happy, then Cookie said,´´So its going to be a real vacation after all.´´
´´ You betcha!´´ i said happly
The trip had been set it was looking more like a brighter summer each minute.
