He crossed his arms, his lips curling with distaste and anger. Stands of lavender hair fell in front of his face and he brushed them away impatiently. There was nothing he could do for the man in front of him now. His Warrior blood boiled in anger, and he struggled to push it down before he spoke, "You're weak. Look at you."
The figure in front of him flinched, his wide brown eyes meeting his aggressors cold green ones. "I couldn't anymore!" his voice was weak and it cracked halfway through it's sentence. His counterpart only sneered.
"What makes you think I will feel pity for you? They're all gone because of you!" the cold voice of the lavender haired man resounded across the empty street, echoing off the walls, rebounding until it was everywhere.
The man struggled to his feet, coughing weakly, trying to meet the eyes of the one before him, "Archie, you must understand! I had..." he was cut off by Archie, who laughed coldly.
"The entire world depending on you! I know!" the Warrior bent and lifted from the ground his spear, the weapon he had used countless times that night. "The world needed you, the team needed you, even the gods themselves needed you! That I know Jay!" he clenched the weapon in his hands, ignoring the way it nearly slipped from his hands, slick with blood.
The crazed look in Archie's eyes was unsettling, but the cold laughter still being choked from his throat was even more chilling. "The world needed you Jay. I knew that. But you had us! Didn't you ever realize? We were always there behind you, with you!" He laughed again, and Jay stared at him with wide eyes. Blood slowly dripped from the black spear, slashing soundlessly into the puddle of blood at Archie's feet. He didn't seem to notice as he continued to rant, "We were there for you. You remember Theresa? The girl who was in love with you? She's gone because of you! You're the reason she's dead!"
"NO!" The scream that tore itself from the former Leader's throat was hoarse and angry. "That's not true."
More crazed laughter escaped the Warrior. "Is that what you think? Let me tell you what happened. You made a deal with a devil and he betrayed you, in turn betraying us all. You should've known this would happen. Whatever he promised you, he would twist it. You've said it yourself!"
"We would all be dead if I hadn't of made that deal!" Jay screamed at Archie, tears streaming from his eyes. "I saved us! Don't you realize that if I hadn't done what I did, you would be dead?"
Archie clenched the spear, and suddenly pointed it at the Leader, his face clearing of anger as his voice lowered, "I would rather have died. Cronus is gone, but only because those who are dead made their sacrifice. There could have been another way. You know that. I know you know that."
He dropped his hands, letting his spear hang at his side. Sending the man in front of him one last look of disgust, the Warrior tossed the spear to the side and walked away. He was quickly swallowed in the darkness of the night.
