A/N: I'm not sure if someone already wrote something close to this, but when I thought of this, it was just too cute to pass up. Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha.

Title: Only the Best Lessons

Rated and Genre: K/Humorish

Characters: Sesshoumaru, Rin, Jaken

Warning: death by fluffiness

Only the Best Lessons

In his aristocratic life, Sesshoumaru was taught only the best and vital of things. And with that, he had realized long after with great surprise that his flawless appearance and perfect combat skills were mainly because of self pride and for the pride he expected his parents to shower him with. It was the rush of the moment, the tempting danger, the awaited goal, the feeling of an obstacle conquered, and most of all; the beaming eyes of pride-filled parents.

But never in his life would he think of himself as the parent; to be in the position with the pair of eyes onlooking with parental pride. He had once mocked it, but never again would he do such a thing. Because now, the position of the parent was a permanent duty he would wear for a good while.

And so he wore this badge of responsibility without complaint and taught Rin only the most vital of things that a father would need his daughter to know.

"As if a human could make Lord Sesshoumaru proud!! Ha! You know well not to go spewing your senseless thoughts aloud, Rin. It only servers as a hindrance to us. And further more—EEEEEEEEEH!!"

A rock that could easily be mistaken as a small boulder came flying through the air, missing Jaken by a mere inch.

A rather amusing sight caught Sesshoumaru's eyes as he looked back to see the thrower of the rock. Rin's cheeks were red and puffed out and her small fists were balled up tight at her sides.

"Rin." came his soft bark.

Her large brown eyes met his, and her anger instantly faded when she saw the disappointed look in his eyes.

"Rin, how many times must I tell you...Throw with your wrist, not with your elbow."

Her face brightened somewhat, and she bowed. "My apologies, Sesshoumaru-sama. I won't miss this time."

"Wait...no! Sesshoumaru-sama, how could yo--" Jaken's cries went silent as another rock, much larger than the first, came in direct contact with his temple.

Only the best lessons for his Rin.
