"I am NOT spoiled!" Hermione Granger yelled as loud as she could.
"You are too!" Cedric Diggory yelled back. He crossed his arms across his chest, refusing to let her win this argument. He refused to be scared by the dark hazel eyes, or the wild frizzy hair that was currently acting as if it had a mind of its own.
"Am not!" She said once more, glaring at him with the glare she normally reserved for Draco Malfoy. "And I don't appreciate you saying as much." She added with a huff.
"Do me a favor then. Name one time in your life where you didn't get what you wanted." Cedric challenged. A smirk started to form on his lips when he noticed her struggling with the task.
"You can't, can you? Your parents always handed you everything you always wanted."
"That's not true. Just because my parents were more then happy to make my life easy, doesn't mean that they handed me everything."
"Oh listen to yourself Granger. Everything comes easy to you, school especially. You've always gotten what you wanted, and when you didn't get it at first, you argued or complained until you did."
"That's not being spoiled. That's determination!" She said, still glaring.
"No Granger, determination is when you keep working until you achieve a goal. Being spoiled is when you complain enough to get what you want. People give into you. You intimidate them. I'm not sure how you do it, but there's something about you that just, convinces people to do what you want them to do."
"Well, obviously it doesn't work on you, because if it did, you would have stopped talking a long time ago!"
"I'm not Harry, or Ron. I'm not going to automatically do what you want me to do."
"You will never be Harry or Ron." She said in an almost seething tone. The hurt was evident in her face.
"Being mad at me isn't going to bring them back."
Hazel eyes met with teal, as she started him in the eye. "There was nothing you could do 'Mione."
"Don't you dare!" Hermione yelled, taking a step back from Cedric. "Don't you dare sit here and tell me that it's not my fault. That I didn't let them down!"
"Hermione, listen to yourself! God, see this is what I mean! You cannot accept the fact that everyone makes mistakes!" He practically yelled, running a hand hastily through his hair. "You won't listen; you won't let anyone try to help. Hell, I'm your husband for Merlin's sake, and you won't even let me in! I've tried Hermione, I really have." He said, sitting down. Hermione just stared at him.
"You're right." She said quietly. He looked up, shock written on his face. She looked at him with sad eyes and sat down beside him. "I know it's not my fault. It's just, so hard. I miss them so much." Tears started to spill from her large hazel eyes.
"It's okay. I know it's hard. It'll get easier, I promise. And no one is telling you that you have to forget about them. But really Hermione, you've got to stop picking fights when you're upset like this. Please just talk to me."
"I am spoiled." She said suddenly.
"Excuse me?"
"My parents gave me everything I wanted. If they sad no, I'd cry. My father couldn't resist me when I cried. He would always say 'Now buttercup, don't cry', and then he'd get me whatever I was wanting. My mother wasn't much better. They always joked about how I would probably marry the first person who told me no." She said with a faint smile. "Turns out they were right."
"You're joking. Am I really the first person to tell you no?" Cedric asked with an amused look in his eye.
"Yes. And you are the only person to tell me outright that I'm wrong."
"Mrs. Hermione Diggory, you are far more spoiled then I thought you were." He said, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "And I happen to love you just the way you are."
