Maplestory FanFiction: Our Last Hope

All the years of grinding, all the ages of various bosses thrown at us, we have endured them together. We Maplers fought on, clearing each obstacle.
POV Aran: I looked on as many years of endless battle led to the climax, Kritias. After being unfrozen, I have finally regained all the memories, all the pain. Was the odds ever in our favour? For ages, after clearing one challenge, another was slapped in our face. Recently, Hekatron was defeated, with countless Maplers sacrificed. Did I, as a leader, fail miserably? I let the troops march straight into death. But as every batch dies, another replaces them. The endless cycle pains me. Will ever be an end? As I, with all the other heroes, marching down the long, dark and silent alleyway, I just wondered, did we even stand a chance in the first place. Were we fighting for an empty cause?
POV Mercedes: After years, my elves were freed from the curse. Anger boils up in me for what the Black Mage had done to the people around me. My family, the elves, countless civilians, even most of the Maple World. This is the last stand. Even at the cost of my life, I shall fight on to the death. Lightning flashes past us, threatening to destroy us in one go. But with every obstacle set down by the Black Mage, it does not frighten us anymore. Gone are the days of running away constantly for life. Today, we put an end to everything and end this cycle. Every war has casualties, and this is no exception. This is truly the end.
POV Zero Alpha and Beta: We were joined together by accident, unintended by the black mage's servants. At least what I thought. They tried to stop us, encase us in the Shadow Temple. However, we escaped their clutches and went off. How we were trapped in there for eternity, the "Child of God", so they dubbed. Thanks to Mother, we gained transcendence power. With our powers, we will stop the Black Mage. I think I encountered Kritias in the Mirror World, but now it's the real thing. The battle against the Black Mage. No one can express our anxiety, our willingness to end this once and for all.
