A/N: For some reason, I got it in my head to write something short for Mystique. This is a two-shot set in X2 around the scene where she had tried to seduce Logan in his tent. Chapter 1 comes before the scene from the movie. Rated for sexual overtones.

Seductress
"Erik," Mystique moaned, smiling up at him with a face that wasn't hers.
The night outside the tent was clear and a bit cool, but inside his tent it was hot. Mystique often played a part for him, especially on nights like this, when he could almost taste his dreams coming true. She usually played women from his past, but occassionally she played the girls of the X-Men. She never switched halfway through - that would break the illusion and really make him angry. At these times, Mystique was not herself, she was whoever he chose her to be, and there would be no mention of Mystique throughout. Tonight, she played a woman named Magda, one of Magneto's favorites from his past.
"Say it," Magneto demanded.
Mystique opened her mouth to comply, but couldn't. Her mind wasn't in it. She wasn't focused. And she didn't want to say it.
Magneto stopped moving and waited, but Mystique shut her mouth again and lay silent. Enraged, he moved off of her and said angrily, "Get out."
Mystique returned to her regular blue self and left his tent. She hadn't wanted to be there anyway. There was only one tent she wanted to be in tonight, so she headed across the campground, fingering the scars below her ribs.
