LUX by: Silversaturn
The ultimate darkness, or evil, is called the Atrox. The evil that is the emptiness. But do you know of the ultimate light? The peaceful light Lux, the good that is joyfullness. Lux, like Atrox, is a mass of light also know as stars. The Atrox tries to destroy the light by exploding the stars.
Lux has a forgotten daughter just like the Atrox has a lost daughter. Both are so much alike to tell them apart you must look at their powers.
Power of darkness or power of light.
Zeus stared at the sleeping child. So his mother didn't just save him. She saved her, Andromeda, from getting eaten by Chronos.
"She is like Chronos, a goddess of time," Rhea had said. She had frozen Andromeda into the pits of time. Once Chronos was sealed Andromeda was released.
Was she like Chronos? Zeus asked silently.
The baby made a gurgling noise. How can she be so small and yet, she rules time?
Hera touched his shoulder.
"Selene wants that child," she said as she walked past him.
"This is our sister," Zeus mused .
"Andromeda, I've heard," Hera said. "She was sealed into the stars"
"In time," Zeus corrected. Hera fell silent. "Give it to her." He tossed Andromeda to Hera who caught the body without hesitation .
"You don't wish to keep her?" Hera asked curious.
"No, there is something greater for her." Zeus mumbled and walked away.
Hera stared after him but was brought back from her thoughts when Andromeda cooed.
She lifted the baby and stared at it. "Dearest sister, what will become of you?"
Moonbeams slid down the hallway that they were in. Selene was coming.
"Here, let me see her." Selene demanded.
Hera hesitated then asked, "What is the purpose of this, my sister?" She stared at the child then handed her over to Selene.
Selene passed Andromeda to her chest and held her tightly.
"Lux," Selene whispered. Hera stared wide-eyed. "L-Lux? He spoke to you?"
Selene stared at her. "Come. I shall show you what is and what the importance of your sister."
Hera followed Selene into the open area. "Importance? Importance to what?" Hera asked.
Selene turned to Hera. "Shush, wait. I'll tell you what I know."
"What you know? So you don't know everything?" Hera asked. Selene waved at her to be quiet.
"O Pater Lux!" Selene called out.
Hera stared as orbs of light fell downward.
"Pater Lux?" Hera asked suspicious. Father light?
"I have the child." Selene called out again, "Child of time, daughter of space, he called for you, I gave you to him. Release to the year of the daughters of the city of angels."
Hera stared dumbfounded at the form in the clouds and the lights.
"Y-you're Lux!" Hera said startled. "But-but you're..."
"Shush!" Selene growled.
Hera watched silently as Andromeda left in the mass of orbs.
When all the lights left Hera spoke up.
"He's Lux?"
"He has many forms. One of which is that one." Selene explained. Hera didn't speak.
"What else is he?" Hera asked.
"That's not for you to know." Selene replied. She turned to Hera. Her silver hair glowed. The crescent moon reflected moonlight. (the crescent moon on her forehead)
"Now, tell me about my sister. What is her importance?" Hera asked.
Selene was silent. She 'did' promise. "Well, Lux...believes that Atrox will try to eliminate all gods ...by stealing all hope..
