"Who are you?" Seeley Booth asked, confusion melting into his husky voice. Temperance Brennan's mouth dropped. Pain stabbed at her heart like daggers.

"Booth. It's me. Bones; Your partner." More than… she thought. Wished. Her newly discovered feelings for Booth wanted to come pouring out. She could not let that happen. Not now. Not ever. Tears began to form in her eyes. With a swift movement of her delicate hand, she swiped them away. She heard the door open behind her.

"Sweetie? Are you all right?" Angela! Her heart leaped, than plummeted again as she looked up and saw Booth, unknowing her.

"It's…Booth. He's…it's…gone."

"What's gone sweetie?" Angela had worry in her voice.

"His memory." She broke into tears and fell off the chair, her laptop clattering to the floor. Angela bent down to help her fallen friend.

"Oh no. No. You mean, he doesn't remember you. At all?"

"No. The first words out of his mouth were 'Who are you?'"

"Sorry to break up your moment. But, where am I?" Booth called out suddenly. He had just witnessed two woman-whom he did not even know-come to tears over, him? The one with the brown hair seemed to be crying the most. I know her from somewhere. He thought. She had delicate features and shining eyes. She was beautiful. The other one. Asian? Chinese? He did not know. All he knew was that he just woke up, in a hospital, with the beautiful woman standing over him calling him Booth. Just then, the doctor came in.

"Mr. Booth. I see you've just woken up." He saw the girls helping each other off the floor and raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Brennan. Ms. Montenegro. Are you alright?"

"Booth. He doesn't remember who I am! What is wrong with him?" The woman-Brennan-launched right into hysterics. Am I supposed to remember her? He thought.

"Look. If someone could just give me an explanation, things could improve…" In that instant, Booths heart monitors started increasing and he began to convulse. Bones eyes widened.

"Nurse! Get in here! "The doctor shouted.

"What's happening?" She meant to sound concerned, but it only came out in a dry whisper. Angela covered her face with her hands, hiding tears.

"Whatever it is, it's not just a brain tumor."
