Dino was strolling down the lonely, empty streets of Sicily, Italy when the sun had set. It was more peaceful to stroll at night rather than at daylight. Of course he was aware of enemies trying to kill or ambush him. That's why he always kept his guard up whenever he's alone. (Actually some of his subordinates secretly follow him, worried that their boss might get hurt or trip all over the places.) After few minutes of strolling, a man, who came out of nowhere, appeared in front of him. Dino quickly readied himself, incase this man is looking for a battle. He cannot see him clearly because he's hiding in the shadows of the dark.
"Greetings to you my dear friend …." Dino greeted the mysterious man in front of him.
"Thank you bucking horse…how kind of you…" The man said in response. Dino was deeply shocked. How did this man knew him?
"My apologies, you seem to know me but, unfortunately, I do not know you…" Dino said cautiously.
Even though Dino doesn't know this man, he sensed that he's quite familiar to him….an acquaintance perhaps?
"Are you sure you do not know me Bucking horse? What a shame then…." The man said , stepping out of the shadows.
Dino was mesmerized by his dark beauty. His black hair sways gracefully on top of his black mask that covers the upper part of his face. His pale complexion glows under the beautiful moonlight. His black tuxedo fits him perfectly. He stood in front of Dino with his hands in his pocket. He looked…perfect.
Dino cleared his throat, catching the attention of the skylark. "Um…By any chance, are you from an enemy familiga?" he asked, pitying himself for falling in love with the enemy.
The skylark, however, looked at him with no emotion.
"No….you're mistaken. I am neither an enemy nor an ally…. I'm ally of no one, Bucking Horse…." He replied, with no hesitation or doubt in his voice. Dino can tell that he's not deceiving him.
"Then, who are you, and what side are you on?" Dino curiously asked. The skylark smirked.
"It is yours to reveal, my job is to ensure the safety of the mafia bosses, evil or not, they are all the same. This is the mafia world after all… I shall go now Bucking horse. Until we meet again. Farewell…" He stretched his ebony colored wings and levitated a little. Then he took off and disappeared into the night.
Dino was disappointed. He didn't get the mysterious skylark's name. He turned around and continued his postponed walk. He was love at first sight. He laughed softly. He's being pathetic again. Even so, he's determined to know the skylark better. He smiled and look at the sky.
'That's my promise to you , mysterious Skylark….'
A/N: I always try to use Britain English since it looks cool and complicated and now i bought 2 books that uses Britain English and to be honest , I was uninterested at first... But I'm trying to read it , I felt bad for the books (because I always make reckless decision whenever there's a bookstore/book fair...I blew off all of my money buying books today and got a lot of ranting from my mom (As usual , whenever I buy things that can be bad for my 'studies') I like Britain English because I read some fanfics using it and it was cool for me... I know, out of the topic but I want to tell you guys in case you're wondering why I write fanfics like that...(I said a lot for today, right?)
